You should accept nothing less a full reimbursement of all your expenses. Your contract, via the credit card was with Primera, including the "contract" for Primera to repay your rerouting costs. As long as you have evidence of Primera agreeing to this, you have good grounds. If you have accepted some payment from the credit card company, you need to make it quite clear to the CCC that it is only partial settlement.

  • As above - that advice is spot on. Section 75 is very useful!
  • That's so helpful - thank you both. I've now had a letter saying that this is a temporary payment while they are exploring the Chargeback route, and acknowledging that it is not the full amount that I claimed under Section 75, which will be reviewed after the Chargeback to the airline's bank has been completed.

Sounds promising, and I'll stick to my guns once I hear the result of that phase...

Althopugh thats good news, I don't see why you should have to wait for the chargeback procedure. CCC are still fully liable for your costs, irrespective of what they recoup from Primera.

  • Just a quick update - the remainder has now been paid under Section 75, so patience and persistence paid off. Thank you so much for all the advice and support.

Good to hear. I’m sure your card provider would have been happy to just refund you the original cost of the Primera booking and let you walk away. And I guess a lot of people would have taken that. Well done for being persistent with your rights under Section 75
