Yes - enjoyed your review; it was one of those we read before making the reservation (I remember reading edited snippets out to my OH!) I'll definitely take on board what you say about asking for a villa - do you happen to have an email address for contacting the hotel directly in advance?

request a villa room - not a room in the main building.
they may be a little walk for breakfast / dinner etc (but they have golf buggies that will ferry you about if you call reception) but are much quieter and bigger.
they are in blocks of 8. we had the ground floor at the end.

moneywise we probably spent $200 tops.
tipped $5 - $10 in the gourmet restaurants and a couple of $ each night in the buffet (the wine men come more often when they know you tip )

they have local craft people a couple of times a week. the misses bought some stuff from there i think....

i could go on for hours about it.. but will probably bore you!

press tomorrow--and influence the pound. The BoE recently started "Quantitative
Easing", and will buy another GBP 3bn worth of gilts tomorrow re: the Asset
Purchase Programme it unveiled earlier this month.

Minutes from the March 4/5 BoE MPC meeting, at which Bank Rate was cut by
50bp to 0.5% alongside the APP announcement, will be published at 09:30GMT
tomorrow. UK unemployment data is also due at 09:30GMT tomorrow.

Loss consolidation is the big-picture sterling story, with 1.3965 marking
today"s pre & post-12:30GMT US data intra-day low. Touted support points below
include 1.3945 and 1.3900 (1.3895 was yesterday"s early Asian session intra-week
low). 1.3865 was last Friday"s low.
