i'm off on my honeymoon on 4th may, need a few thousand pounds worth. its not looking good. Neil is changing approx 100k, i think his situation is slightly worse than ours. however he always looks on the brightside http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1loyjm4SOa0

We're the same needing a few thousand, and it's not the end of the world, we'll still be going. Just got to stop thinking about "what we would've had" when it was at $2, otherwise you'd go mad. Anyway the LA sunshine will still feel as warm... more trips to the beach, and less Disney days though.

Having booked a 3 week family holiday to LA/Las Vegas for this coming June way back last summer, we've been watching this thread ever since the dollar started dropping last year. It is depressing, despite having no control over it. We're just hoping now for say a $1.50 to the pound... but even that seems like some unreachable goal. I try not to think about it too much, but we're going to need a whole bucket load of cash now... nightmare. Could be worst, at least flights, car, and accomodation paid for... just the spending money. Who knows lets hope for a miracle in the coming weeks.
    great holiday! i'm jealous!
come on... join the dark side... you know you want to...

Being an official Grumpy Old Man at the age of 38 with kids... I'm perpertually tempted to slip over to the dark side... it doesn't take much prompting to enter into the realms of grumpy sarcasm :-) It's only the holiday at the end of life's dark tunnel that keeps me so "happy" ;-)
