Your reasoning seems as twisted as expecting people to prove a negative.

    Hard to unlock.
What??? I'm not asking you to prove anything - it's the other way round: you are (in reality) asking me to prove I'm not somebody else.

And I have no idea what unlock means either.

I'm taking a bet the OP will be back with a tale of woe.

Me too. It's very bad communication, but everything points to it being genuine. The email address is clearly Cardiff Gov. I did a search on "Blwch SP 9000/ PO Box 9000 Caerdydd/ Cardiff CF10 3WD" and it's clear that this is the address for payments to Cardiff Council.

Go over to pepipoo and see what they know.

Thanks guys i did what you said, they said same thing looks very suspicios and to ignore it (http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=121711)

guess this is closed for now...

Thanks TW. Good points by slapdash there. Was it you that enquired about this number here: https://180info.co.uk/number/02920871280 dated 5 July? If not, then it looks like you're not the only one.

Possibly someone knows that's a phone number that never gets answered, so feels safe that you'll try to use "reply" to the email, which won't in fact send to Cardiff Council but the scammers email. Or maybe it was supposed to do something else - do you have a good anti-malware set up? If not then you might go to one of the online services, just to check. I use Trend Micro for this, but there are several free ones that run over the internet.

What does it matter if that was TW or not?

You put 2 and 2 together, made about two hundred and twenty two and now cannot admit you were wrong. I get that you're a big fish in this little pond, but that doesn't give you any right to harass me. Please follow the forum rules.

No-one is harassing, stalking or even breaking the DPA or Computer Misuse Act.

Haven't seen any evidence that the regulars who think you are an 'alter ego' account, are wrong.

I'm going to ignore your daft post above CM.

Instead I'm simply going to point to Forum Rules Bullet 4.

    Mmmmm

Now this from you, the (supposed) newbie who was posting this just 6 days after joining this forum to supposedly seek advice as a confused newbie over a newly received pcn:

Stop!!! Remove all mention of who was driving from your posts.

    Then read the newbies thread.

    Understood?

Strange way to address a fellow newbie to the world of the pcn!!

You soon revealed your double personality/identity!

I guess that I don't follow your view of how a newbie should behave. I'm not going to apologise for that, because it's your problem. But when you start lying about me, that is harassment. I'll have to ask you also to cease and desist this.

Now I could very easily prove things, but I am not going to do that, because I have done nothing wrong. It is you guys who are behaving badly and you need to stop.

Not many posters call me 'CM', who have been to Cardiff, and mention Scotland soon after posting here, and who also like train spotting and TOCs, and who throw about the words 'harassment' and 'cease and desist', and use the word 'Maybot' (Grauniad stylee), and who direct people to pepipoo as if it's second nature, and who lecture other newbies on outing the driver, despite ostensibly being a *newbie* and who also paint themselves soon after arriving here, as some sort of 'internet engineer' who has used t'internet considerably longer than anyone else in the World.

    Time will tell.
