So jealous of the puppy. We have to make do with the cats as hubby can't have dogs due to a proper phobia.

That's a shame. He is ridiculously cute, but also really hard work - especially when I am trying to work from home, or when DC3 winds him up by running around in paw patrol slippers and making him chase.
  • sounds like a good weekend.

your mental health is worth so much more than the overtime in a toxic environment so best to do whats right for you.

sounds like a blissful weekend you have planned.  sorry about your colleague - that's not nice even if not directed personally at you.  I have a colleague who I will avoid at all costs but can bear if I have to.
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Ha, I think my plan for the weekend was just wishful thinking. I spent most of yesterday cleaning and ironing. Downstairs looks presentable, but only because we have moved the clutter upstairs. There's still a mountain of ironing to do and now the bedrooms need sorting. There's 3 bin bags in my bedroom alone full of stuff that needs sorting to either bin or sell.

Have you tried a hot water bottle wrapped up in an old pillow case for the pup?

Hope you get a restful weekend after your busy week.

I think sometimes it's better for our MH to let clutter go to CS instead of worrying about selling...

Not quite wine in the sunshine, but I've got an hour to myself so I'm curled up on the sofa with a coffee watching the handmaid's tale.

Meal plan and grocery shop done this morning. Struggling to get the grocery shop back below £70 a week, but this week it did include lots of seafood for a paella, some goodies from the Italian aisle, and 2 frozen cocktails to drink in the garden at the next sunny opportunity. I also got 2 packs of belly pork and some mince that weren't on the shipping list but had 30% off.

@Honeysucklelou2 I thought about a hot water bottle, but he bites and claws at things so much that I was worried he might burst it. He settles well at night now. I played heartbeat sounds to settle him the first few nights, but doesn't need that anymore. He's really good to be fair, it's just hard work when I'm working and having to constantly keep an eye on him and let him in & out of the garden. I know the answer is to work upstairs so that DH can see to the dog, but I don't like using the bedroom as a workspace.

@savingholmes yes, I might thin it down by sending some to a charity shop. Trouble is finding time to get it there. We arranged for a charity to collect stuff from us last year but they didn't turn up.
