I’ve also been a bit cheeky requesting some free samples of baby food as DC3 has allergies (waiting for tests to confirm what he’s actually allergic to) and meal times are trial and error at the moment. So far I’ve had £4 of baby food vouchers, £20 supermarket vouchers, and another supermarket have promised to send something.

Hi, if there are food allergies/intolerance then you may be able to get some free from food or formula on prescription (free for kids) to help. Free from foods can be much more expensive than regular foods so that would help out a little.
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. He's actually well overdue an appointment at the allergy clinic and it's just been postponed again because of covid. We're quite lucky that most of his allergies are things we can easily avoid, and we're working on introducing most of them back into his diet to build up a tolerance, apart from peanuts that he's unlikely to ever be able to eat/be in contact with.

I can 100% relate to people dropping off their clutter on you. My mum gave be their old shower head a few weeks ago "just in case I needed it" (I know! She's trying to be helpful though)  so that was interesting.
I actually need a shower head so it would be helpful if MIL dropped one of those off here

I had my hair done at home yesterday and it's very short. She only charged me £10, but I gave her an extra £2 tip. She's only managing 2 clients a day due to having to go home and sterilise equipment between appointments.

I've requested some time off work over the next few weeks so am trying to think of some low-cost/free activities to do with the DCs. DC2 had a cheese making kit for his birthday so will spend some time in the kitchen doing that and some other cooking activities. We'll go on some walks and do some foraging. I also want to plan some fun educational activities. DC1 & 2 are taught in their second language and DC2 has missed a huge amount of language immersion so I want to help him as much as possible before they go back in September. After that I'm a bit stuck for ideas.

Well done on the furniture shuffle. I relate on the decluttering. I struggle in the first place and then MIL asks me to find a home for stuff on top LOL. It was great when the kids were small but not so much now.

Thanks for stopping by savingholmes. The decluttering feels never ending, we just have so much stuff. My mum gave me my wedding dress back last week. We got married nearly 15 years ago and it's been hanging on the side of her wardrobe ever since. I fell in love with it when I opened it again but it's just another thing to take up space. I'm not ready to sell it though.

I sorted through my wardrobe today and have got a full bin bag to sell/charity shop. I've been getting quite frustrated that it's jam packed but I can never find anything to wear. I sorted everything into categories and realised that about 40% of my clothes are workwear, and 40% are occasion-wear. Of the remaining everyday clothes, the majority were purchased pre-children and either no longer fit or don't look good on my post-baby body (particularly my mummy tummy). I've made a list of items that need buying/replacing and am carefully considering what to buy & when. I don't need a huge amount and from what I've priced up today it would come to about £75 in total. 2 of the shops I looked at had discounts (20% and 25% off) and I'm trying to decide whether to buy what I need now to take advantage of the discounted prices, or wait until I've sold some of my old stuff.

I know about the mum tum troubles. I still need to lose another 10kg to go back to my pre second born weight. Do you think you have seperared abs after pregnancy? I have that issue and have to do special exercises to bring them together again. You can Google it!

I was actually wondering about this as DH mentioned recently that I still have the line down my belly where they split. I followed the nhs guidance to check though and can't feel anything obvious, so think it's just a case of toning up again. I'm doing yoga 4-5 times a week and a bit of running & aerobic exercise as and when. I'm also trying to eat healthily whilst not depriving myself of treats. I'm making slow but steady progress.
