That is a fab haul. Not going to a SM since March has definitely meant I’ve missed out on YS bargains. May have to time any future visits for YS time.5

I'm absolutely exhausted & mentally drained after work today. Luckily I'm off now until Monday. I drove past Lidl on the way home and was hoping to stop and pick up some school uniform. Queues were round the block though so I kept driving & didn't stop. I sold another item and have transferred the £10 to savings. Very pleased to report that we managed to stretch the roast chicken to 4 more meals and finished it tonight - fajitas, pizza, risotto, and stir fry.3

Not sure what's wrong with me but I woke up still feeling exhausted this morning. I've been been feeling fuzzy headed too. Probably not helped by the heat, but I'm not going to complain about good weather.
I managed to get to lidl first thing (luckily, as there were queues around the block again when I passed mid morning). I picked up school uniforms, and plenty of drinks and ice cream for the weekend, all for £13. I've allocated it all to the grocery budget for now because I'm too tired to study the receipt and break it down into categories. DC2s trousers fit perfectly in length, but are big around the waist despite being elasticated. I'll need to either feed him up over the next 4 weeks or sew in some elastic before they go back to school.
We also discovered today that DC3 needs new shoes. We picked up an £8 pair for him, which will be ideal for wearing to the childminders (where he decided to paint himself today), then met MIL who thought nothing of spending £40 and very kindly bought him 2 pairs of decent shoes. She also sent us home with a pack of potato waffles.

Feeling slightly better this morning. DC1 got up with DC3 at 7am so I could have a lie in. Managed to stay in bed til 9.30 which has definitely helped. Sold a £5 item which was collected this morning. Checked the olio app and managed to bag a free food haul including tins, pasta, flour etc. DC3 and I walked to collect it. It was a 4.5 mile round trip (carrying heavy bags on the return trip) which hasn't helped my tiredness, but means my exercise for the day is done & I can have a night off from yoga.3

Today has been a lovely day. We took the children to a butterfly jungle/reptile house/farm park. The weather was glorious, like being abroad, and everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day out. We gave in and bought a £4.50 toy tractor for DC3 from the gift shop. It was worth every penny as he held it, staring at it, (in its box) for the entire 30 minute journey home, has played with it non stop, and has gone to bed cuddling it. The tickets cost £35 and we've now spent up on our days out and clothes budgets.
The grocery budget is now at £226.40/£300. We will need 2 more shops from this budget. This will be doable, helped by a £5 Lidl voucher and making use of stores/freezer food, but means I won't be able to cover the house spends from this budget. And actually, we added massively to the house spends today and they are now at £297.80. I've had back/neck pain for weeks now to the point where I'm no longer sleeping. DH mentioned that he has started waking with neck pain. So, we've order a new mattress (reduced from £400 to £219.99) and pillows. We've got the funds in savings to cover it and if it stops my pain it will be worth the spend.
We sold an old tv yesterday for £30 and a pressure washer today for £40. I'm going to make an extra effort to list and sell a small much as I can to replace the savings.5 -
