Thank for the link Igamogam. Unfortunately we don't qualify. I've sorted jumpers and ties, and need to check through the mountain of white shirts they already have. DDs skirts are still fine and I got trousers for DS last week from Aldi, although he could do with an extra pair. The main things I need are PE tshirts. I might get away with just 1 for DS but I accidentally put DDs white tshirt in a colour wash and it's now a shade of blue. Not sure if I can rescue it. They both need new bags too.0 -

The whole school uniform thing is a real bugbare of mine...although I understand why and can see the benefits at High School, but at primary school it is not compulsory and dont get me started on non uniform/dress up days!!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

There is evidence that absenteeism rises on these days - children and young people avoiding school as they dont have the 'right' clothes....:(Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Just when things are starting to look up...DH isn't being kept on at the end of his probationary period. He's due a full wage packet, plus some holiday he is owed, so the bills will be covered for the next month without having to raid savings. He's submitted loads of applications already so I won't start to panic just yet, although I do feel like I'm constantly being tested.0

Sorry to hear that Kitty. Dont know what his line of work is but County council are always recruiting as are DWP...change is as good as a rest!
Dont panic. Time to focus and regroup. Speak to your mortgage advisor and creditors before things get too tight. If you end up not needing their help then that is great but better to start to plan now.Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Thank you. He's half way through a Council application as I type.
DH has a collectible item for sale (it's been listed for a while, but we're doubling our efforts now to get it sold). Got somebody coming to view on Friday. If & when it sells it will pay a nice chunk off the debt and boost our savings, so that will put us in a better position. In the meantime, I've got lots of smaller items to sell. Baby gate already gone for £10 and a sleeping bag due to be collected for £4.0 -
