Is It Possible To Upload DVD's To YouTube?
I know on YouTube one can only manage 10 minute sectments at a time.
Is it possible or easy to copy Dvd's and upload to YouTube?
One Idea I had was using my Digital video camera to video record the DVD playing on my Pc then upload to YouTube but the Screen is far to big its messy and you need a steady hand.
Or is there anyone I can get to do it for a reasonable price?
Thanks,
Heidy

it used to be that youtube preferred uploads in mpeg format, not sure if they have changed this now. if it turns out you cant upload dvd (im pretty sure you cant, the file size would exceed their allowance) there are free tools or trials that you can use to convert your dvd to another format, for instance, magicdvdripper, total video converter, super, and for editing for youtube i use virtualdub which can split the file in any increment you want.Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.0

youtube accepts video files from most digital cameras, camcorders, and cell phones in the .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG file formats.
but they do prefer mpeg4 format. and resize to 320x240 is best.Get some gorm.0 -

Try to keep on-topic.
If a DVD is 60 minutes long and the YouTube time has a 10 minute time limit, it won't fit unless you can edit the content. The size of the file makes no difference.
Yes, you can rip the contents of the DVD with a program such as Magic DVD Ripper and then use a suitable program to cut it into the required segments.
http://www.magicdvdripper.com/dvd-ripper.htm The trial gives you five free 'rips'.
http://www.dailymotion.com/gb allow 20 minute segments.0 -

Thanks Donnie,
Using www.magicdvdripper.com the settings for YouTube are Avi or mp3
There is some about "Modify"
As for editing the copied DVD into 10 minute segments which software do you suggest?
Thanks,

A few free ones to try: http://tv.isg.si/site/?q=node/873
Maybe Avid Free DVD, if you don't get on with VirtualDub: http://www.chip.de/downloads/c1_downloads_13010759.html
