You can google to find a company to pay - not recommended here!!

Use the forum advice on how to defend a claim (see theNewbies FAQ thread - #2 there covers advice on what to do from receipt of the claim to the hearing

Edit your post to remove your name if it's your real one!

The ppcs monitor this forum and can use posts in your thread against you

(If your board name is your real name then get MSE to change it to something anonymous)

You have a choice to make
    Defend or not

What is the issue date? You have a total of 19 days form date of issue to acknowledge the claim, that then gives you 33 days from date of issue to get the defence tothe court.

You shoul dhave, by now, read at least half a dozen threads to understand your position. you cannot keep saying you have zero experience and expecting to be told exactly what to do - this is your decision. If you feel, having read the comments on here and having read other threads, that you have a good cae to defend - and most people DO - then defend.

we cannot make that decision for you. You have to do your OWN research, and that means reading lots of threads.

Glad to see you back posting, nosferatu1001 :T
is there a company that I can pay to help me with this?
    Let me see...
    NO
    NO
    NO
    NO
    NO
    AND MORE NO!

Do do not even go there. Two of those firms have the worst Trustpilot reviews we have ever seen (and aggressive replies from the company, and a Trustpilot warning banner on one).

I am personally embarrassed to see it and on this forum we NEVER recommend them.

DO NOT STEP OUTSIDE THIS FORUM! WE DO THIS ALL THE TIME.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Ok thanks guys.

I appreciate the honest replies, this is certainly something that I need to defend because I feel like I am being mugged off by this company.

There are a couple of threads that I have been reading about creating a defensive case, shall I draft one up and put it on this thread?

    Thanks.

    Thanks SRM!
like with work this is a "phased return" as im still dealing with divorce and mediation as well.

What is the ISSUE DATE? You have been asked once already.
You MUST follow, if you intend to defend this, the advice on post 2 of the nebwies thread on ACKNOWLEDGING SERVICE of the claim
If you complete this you get 33 days from DATE OF ISSUE to get your defence to them
If you dont, you only have 19
There is a reason we ask quesitons> ensure you answer all of them first time, it makes this far less lengthy a proces.
  • The issue date was the 21st May 2019, I am currently at work so will read this tonight a respond accordingly, there are some forms with the letter but I can respond to the claim online where I intend to defend.

    Thanks.

You absolutley will only respond online. DO NOT fill in any paper forms

With an issue date of 21st may, you have sometime to do the acknowlegement however DONT delay - do it tonight. Read the instructions in the newbies thread and follow them exactly.

When you respond on-line, make sure you don't put anything in the defence box - not even a full stop - your defence will be compiled and sent by e-mail later in the process.

The issue date was the 21st May 2019...
With a Claim Issue Date of 21st May, you have until Monday 10th June to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox file linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread. About ten minutes work - no thinking required.

Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 24th June 2019 to file your Defence.

That's a whole month away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but don't leave it to the last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:
      Print your Defence.
    1. Sign it and date it.
    2. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    3. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    4. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    5. Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
    6. Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
    7. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.
