oh dear, a classic case of copying and pasting without adaptation and reading etc

so follow the last post and do as they said

and as they say, an SAR to a debt collector is pointless

One of the reasons I don't get involved in proofreading these long posts. If the OP doesn't have the time or inclination to make sure it's right before posting, then why should I have to get involved in helping to sort it all out.

Just far too many of them.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Ok thanks guys really appreciate your help I will await their response.....
  • Hi guys, the response back from BW Legal?

I don't think that's good enough, surely if they are planning on taking me to court they need to do it the correct way? Or are they saying that if I want to talk to them via email I need to send them this information?

    Thoughts please as always.

    Thanks.

Read a few of the BWL threads on the first 3-4 pages of the forum. This very question has been raised a number of times - and answered. The advice hasn't changed in the past few days.

  • Hi Unkomaas, thanks for your swift reply, I have read a few threads from BW Legal and getting contradicting answers, one post is saying reply and give details except phone number and a response to send them regarding SAR but not about sensing correct evidence before court? The other posts is saying do not send details and leave it at that?

Then you'll need to make a decision, won't you?

Opinions are what you get here. Nothing more.
  • All I'm trying to do is do the best thing in order to stop all of this harassment, I don't know what that is, I don't know enough to have an opinion as I'm not an expert on this sort of stuff.

Hence why I'm asking for other people help and opinions.

    And you have gotten that

You dont need to give them a phone number. All theyre doing is gathering some info frrom you to confirm you are someone they are allowed to communicate with
You are making an exceptionally simple letter into something way more complex than it actually is. Yes, they could have worded it better, but come on -= verifying identity is GOOD PRACTICE, so you should expect it. Items 1 - 3 are certainly fine to give them, althrough if youd given them their ref / PCN number that should also be enough for them

You can't ''stop it'' except when you win a defended claim later this year. :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi Guys,

So the dreaded county court letter has arrived today, they took their time! They have were late sending me GDPR information and also sent it to the wrong address (I had updated them).

Is my particular case worth taking all the way to court?

I have zero experience in this type of thing is there a company that I can pay to help me with this?

    Please help.

    Many thanks.

    Dean.
