I regularly use B&M and popped into the car park at around 11pm on the 19th of June to eat a McDonalds I'd just purchased from across the road.
No. Pointless saying that. You are admitting 'I used your car park pointlessly when I could have parked on street at night'.

I can't add to what's already all over the forum, re the IPC and what we think of them.

And seeing as we directed you to read other G24 threads, you already knew they were in the IPC and would have already read about that on the other G24 threads that came up when you searched 'G24'. No need to discuss this lot again.

Read what the forum already has about tedious old G24 far too many times over...
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I wouldnt worry about the IPC or IAS at all

we tell people to IGNORE them, and IGNORE any debt collectors too

with G24 and any other IPC operator its one initial appeal to the PPC involved (in your case G24) , then its ignore anything except an LBC or an MCOL in the post (the in between stuff is irrelevant)

and a landowner cancellation following a written complaint is ALWAYS the best option for anyone with a pcn (go to the source , the organ grinder , not the monkey)

Thank you. I'm now clear on that and can carry what you say when having a good read through the newbies thread.

I will ignore anything except letters from LBC or an MCOL.

01-02-03 can be free depending on a mobile package
but with 03. it often means 0300 not 0345

All 03 prefix numbers are charged the same. Mobile contracts will include them in any inclusive minute bundles. The only demarcation is that 030 numbers are reserved for public/non-profit organisations, but they all cost the same.

monkeybrains, did you ever send an appeal to G24?

Did that appeal give away the driver's identity?

I am concerned that your latest email/letter to B&M freely tells them who the driver is.

There is a not insignificant risk that that letter/email will be passed directly to G24, thus throwing away a possible strong Defence point of 'no keeper liability'.

I didn't send an appeal to G24, just the letter to B&M.

I understand I was hasty to do this and have done myself no favours :(
  • I just got the below email from B&M.

I'm not sure whether to bother replying or just forget and ignore any letters apart from the ones I need to watch out for.

Thank you for your email and I am sorry to hear that you have received a parking ticket while parking at our Cheetham Hill store.

It is unfortunate that restrictions and charges need to be imposed due to non B&M customers using the car park.

We have no direct control over these penalty notices as they are issued and controlled by the car park management company. The company who manage the car parks are open to reviewing parking tickets when a customer is able to provide details of purchases (receipt or bank statement) in our stores at the time the ticket was received.

I do hope that this incident does not deter you from shopping with B&M in the future and we look forward to seeing you in one of our stores.

    Kindest Regards,

Respond back with - of course it stops you from going there
    You hired the c ompany
You can tell them to cancel this specualtive invoice, unless you were idiotic enough to sign a contract stating otherwise

So please tell me, are you unwilling to cancel due to not caring one jot about your customers being harassed by the people you hired, or are you unable to cancel due to stupidity? It is one option or the other.

    Then social media it all.

Seconded, they control the parking company. They CAN get this cancelled.
