Well, you don't ignore it but neither do you pay

Read the newbies thread where you will see how to respond to
G24 and the second appeal thereafter.

    DO NOT PAY IT

do the normal appeal as shown in the newbie thread then read http://www.parkingappeals.info/companydata/G24.html and work out your chances of court

Are they asking for a surcharge if you pay by card. If so complain in writing to you local Trading Standards Officer.

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/cards/2018/01/cards-fees-to-be-banned-from-saturday, also complain to your MP

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

How a consumer reports an issue to Trading Standards. You need to go through the CA Consumer Line

Neil, after your other posts on this ...

I read from the link ..

"Calls to the helpline cost up to 9p per minute from a landline. If you're calling from a mobile, it'll cost between 3p and 40p per minute"

A consumer helpline that charges .. not acceptable so as
the Deep says .... write to them

Have a read of Mikey815's thread and follow some of the advice there, including dropping a SAR-bomb. G24 won't like that one bit. Dispensing grief can be a two-way street in this game.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    No really don't

    For example

    https://www.essex.gov.uk/Business-Partners/Trading-Standards/Pages/Contact-Trading-Standards.aspx

Read the bit at the bottom about writing in

Every single council website I have seen tells you to contact Trading Standards through CA Consumer Helpline Do you think they are definitely going to deal with letters when there are specific instructions like that?

In another thread Ian011 has pointed out why the system is as it is

Oh and you can use the web form for free to contact CA and everyone I know has free calls to 01,02 and 03 numbers with their mobile package.

But I do agree that an 0800 number would be better

No disrespect to you Neil but who on earth dreams
    all this up

On the same link, businesses can email
    Contact by email
    Businesses: email trading.standards@essex.gov.uk

"If you're unable to contact us by telephone or email you can send a letter. However, please note that consumer enquires cannot be received at this postal address and will not be redirected to The Citizens Advice Consumer Service. "

    (trading standards address given)

What a pointless statement .... what do they do with letters
    then, bin them ???

01-02-03 can be free depending on a mobile package
but with 03. it often means 0300 not 0345

As said before, to expect everyone to have an internet
    connection/computer is far fetched

This seems to be perfect example to advise your MP.
Consumers being scammed must be scammed again
    to a consumer helpline

    That's how DWP were exposed
