It is mixed.... I am pleased that they are living near DIL's friends and family (happy wife/happy life) and pleased that he has a job in a safe country (he has obtained a contract - so needs to set up a company in Singapore as well) and pleased that they are going to buy somewhere to live, and I am pleased as my weekly spend will reduce significantly with all the meals out............ but I will miss them!

Thinking of you ssm .:) One good thing is that technology helps a bit to keep in touch and you can visit. My DD only lives a mile or so away but we mostly communicate with WhatsApp as her job is so busy.

I've never tried frozen grapes. How long does it take?

Thanks for the ideas denise . I don't fancy flavoured yogurt yet. I've only just started to eat plain. Wow! You've got a massive range of flavours. I might try almond essence as I know I like that.. Got YS strawberries today so I've put that together for tomorrow.

At least he is in civilisation........... I remember when he disappeared for weeks whilst sailing from the mouth of the Mekong river into China, it has not been sailed by a River cruiser for 100 years without the ship sinking and included going through the drug triangle... and also everyone getting arrested in China (which is when he could contact us). The next time he sailed this... the boat sank! oooh then there is his encounters with the drug lords wanting use of the ship..... I was pleased when he decided enough is enough and left...:D

With his new job he will be travelling but hopefully to reasonably safe places.... or at least he will be staying in the poshest of hotels as a customer and not managing them!

I had popped the grapes in a few days ago as they were about ready to spoil.... they were lovely but next time I will take the stalks off them first! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

No I dident think my DS would either.
But the one good thing about Masters is that now knows what he does not want to do!
He had an offer to do PhD abroad.
Would not have got a funded one here.
    Anyway all academic now!

It is scary that it appears more financially viable abroad.

    What masters did he do?
