This sounds very like something that I remember my brother playing with in the sixties and looking at them HERE , i'm convinced it's the same sort of thing.

Doesn't anyone else remember them from then? Please tell me i'm not imagining it?

    Nor me.... :D

I suppose they'll go the same way as the clay animals, the plaster figures, and all other things lovingly made by our children for us to keep until so many bits have dropped off that we can justify chucking them out!

    smiley-faces6.gifand to Fran too :p

I can't ever remember my brother doing anything other than plaiting the plastic strips . He didn't use them for anything AFAIK and I can only remember them being in red , white and blue , so what the point was I don't know

I'm wondering if they were from Belgium if no-one else can remember them. It's possible my Mum or Grandma brought then back from there

But Juno I'm sure I read somewhere that you're young (like 19 or 20)? There's no such thing as "years ago" yet!! ;)

I'm 19, but I was at junior school when we played with them!

They were all the rage in Italy when I was there in February/March. I am the proud owner of 2 Scooby Doo keyrings (as they were).

In the UK they're really really annoying as the children in my class think they need to do the damn things during every lesson. Trying to point out that Numeracy, Literacy etc etc is more important than a Scubidou (or whatever they are!) doesn't seem to work - so the children have them taken away from them until the end of the day!!!
