    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy

    HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

We had a lovely evening at my folks with some dinner and drinks (soft for me). Visiting relatives for lunch today and regifting a box of chocolates that I wont eat.

We really need some food shopping in but that can't be done today so dinner will likely be from the freezer tonight!

Still yet to so a meal plan, but it's been a busy few days. I'll get it done.

I had Christmas money to spend from my MIL so bought some lovely cleanser that is run out of and couldn't justify replacing, a new belt and a purse. I feel really well treated without the dent in my account :)

Thanks Scott! I'm not even using it to its full potential, just when I have 20 minutes to kill which isn't that often.

    small savings
We got my MIL a phone on contract about 8 years ago. She is on her own and on a low income so we agreed with BIL that we'd get her it for Christmas and it'd come from our account but that he'd set up a SO for half. Anyway, years later we hace never seen any money but it hasn't been a problem for us.

Recently she has been talking about an upgrade so we took her out yesterday to help her choose and she said she wanted to put it in her name. So she did. We have 30 days notice for cancelling the existing contract so will pay the final payment at the end of January. Saving a cool £17 per month.

    Every little helps after all.

Another £2.80 into my sealed pot after popping to the shop for a top up.

It's 5.56 and I'm already in my pyjamas. Looking forward to doing very little tonight. In fact, I'm off to write the January meal plan and shopping list!

Sounds like a positive week, I'm liking the sound of the planner. I spent some of my Christmas money on cleanser too.

    Happy new year!

Great minds on the cleanser front- it's nice to have a treat sometime. The planner I got is by CGD London in case you want a nosy.

Our loan payment is the largest chunk that we throw towards our debt each month and I just realised we are almost into the one-year-to-go period.

The payment comes out mid month so the next will be in a couple of weeks but I think I'd like to track this when I play in a sort of countdown fashion.

    Loan payments outstanding: 13

Tomorrow I must read and sign our new mortgage papers and get them posted back. As soon as the mortgage is switched to the new supplier, I can move our CC onto a new 0% deal since it expired in Nov. This time round I will of course make a note so I remember when it expires but I'd like to think our CC debt will be cleared by then!

Meal plan done for the rest of this week and next week:

    Takeaway with friends tomorrow
    Mac and cheese
    Lasagne and veg
    Picky dinner (emptying freezer)

    Fajitas and salad
Lemon some, actifry chips and salad
    Chicken, bacon and leek pasta
Veggie Stir fry with fried egg
    Cottage pie and broccoli
    Home made pizzas and salad
    Quirk nuggets and dirty fries

This morning will be a touch spendy

    1. Fill up my car with fuel
    2. Do food shopping (plus a few other bits like loo roll etc)
    3. Friends coming over later so we will treat them to a Take away (we take it in turns when we see each other twice per year)

Apart from that, not a pound should leave my purse!
