Well I think I am finally organised! Got all the food in, everything's wrapped bar two small items, the house is almost there (just need to clean our bedroom). We just have a few more activities to get out the way then the big day will be here!
Family birthday party this afternoon/evening then tomorrow we have two more family birthdays to celebrate, a Christmas eve breakfast out and some ice skating. Hoping to get home mid afternoon to have a relaxing evening before it all kicks off! Haha
It's been a hugely busy month but it's all worth it to see the look on the kids' faces.
Money
My bonus was confirmed in my pay slip yesterday and ita only £50 less than I'd guestimated after tax. As s99n as that's paid in, I'll transfer it into savings and this will pay for the majority of our summer holiday next year. My husband was also paid for a job that he just completed so that's in the savings account now and this will cover the car repairs that need done as well as paying off the rest of the stag do that my husband is going on early next year.
Not sure how much I'll make it on here so if I'm not back on, I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Merry Christmas all! Hope you had a lovely day with loved ones, and hugs to those who struggled over the festivities.
I had a lovely day - family visited, MIL stayed for Christmas dinner, I MADE Christmas dinner myself for the first time and it was tasty. The kids had an absolute ball too!
Today is a day for chilling this morning then this afternoon we will be finding a home for all the new lovely gifts we got, then we are hosting dinner for 10 tonight so another busy day.
I got a beautiful planner from my parents and it'll mean I can be a bit more organised and track some self care things as well as day to day stuff I need to do.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Yea, DIA, I am already craving a routine back and not back at work until 7th. I'm trying to think about how best to utilise the planner so that I don't waste it. There s not much that irritates me more than a spoiled page in a notebook!Sealed Pot Challenge 075

I'm trying to bring MSE ways to my days while I'm off work to counteract the lack of routine. Don't want being off work to make me spiral!
I've been putting my spare change in my sealed pot - a few pounds the other day and I'm yet to open my purse today to see what can be deposited.
I also had some leftover parsnips and carrots from our Christmas meal so roasted them off then mixed with some curry powder and stock to make a lovely soup. That's two portions now in the freezer
I just checked my bank account and I'm supposed to be paid today but it's not in my account. Perhaps it's too early (although it's normally in just after midnight) so will check again later.
Hope you are all having a lovely day!Sealed Pot Challenge 075

It's the penultimate day of 2018 and I'm looking forward to another week off work with the kids. We have some nice plans this week ahead but nothing too full on.
Today I potted £4.20 in my sealed pot!
We went to a wedding last night but I was exhausted (read hungover) so I decided to drive, saving money on expensive hotel drinks. My husband still had a few drinks but I think total soend was £30 which isn't bad going for an expensive hotel only serving exclusive beer. Not a Tennants in sight!
I've been stalking Instagram this evening to give me some meal plan inspiration so I should really jist get on and do a meal plan for Jan to make my life easier this time next week.
I complained in my last post that my wages weren't in yet and they still arent! Apparently there was a problem with the bank because they just switched to a new bank...blah blah...anyway, salary and bonus should be paid in tomorrow.
Tomorrow we are heading to the shops to exchange sizes on some of the kids clothes that they were gifted then having some dinner at my parents house. We may or may not see in the New Year at theirs, will just wait to see how the kids are doing. I'll be driving either way so no drinks will pass my lips!Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Finally paid today after the delayed salary payment so have transferred my bonus into my savings account, transferred spends into spending account and all the other admin bits. Just need to spend some time mapping out the month ahead to make sure it's all looking accurate. My husband is due to be paid tomorrow but don't know if his boss will just pay him early or wait until later in the week.
Days until pay day: 30
Wishing everyone a lovely evening welcoming the New Year and all the best for 2019! I'll be bringing it in quietly with husband and the kids xSealed Pot Challenge 075
