I don't think that is correct  ????thetriggerhappypwner wrote: »..... Anyway, just called up Hastings, and spent about 30 minutes on the phone to a lady who has stated that they only require a declaration with them that I had a policy cancelled with them. !!!8230;..
The question on every insurance application I have seen is:Have you ever had insurance declined or cancelld
To answer truthfully, you would have to say yes."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Whereas other users who've come across you before and recall some of your deleted posts might agree that your view of 'frustration' often manifests itself in quite blatant abuse.
Given your difficult situation with insurance a calm & reasoned voice will be a great ally to you0 -
I would question if an insurer choosing not to deal with you because of abusive behaviour would justify cancelling your insurance leaving you with a record of cancellation. I understand the insurer choosing to avoid the behaviour but that should be separate from the insurance. If you are provided with proof of the reason for cancelling keep it and copies of it. Hopefully other insurers will see it as irrelevant to the policy.thetriggerhappypwner wrote: »

So they synthesised your voice in order to create a fake recording?
I know insurers sometimes get accused of playing hardball, but that's going some if they really did that!
Or did they just supply the recording they had of the real call, and the FO felt their interpretation of "aggressive" was more appropriate than your's of "frustrated"?0 -

That's so strange. I remember when Microsoft banned you from Xbox live for exactly the same reason. It must be really troublesome when companies keep making up stuff all the time. All your base are belong to us.0 -
For the record, XBOX LIVE banned me for RECIEVING death threats. FACT!
Please get your facts right before making assumptions that you have no evidence to back up.
I did not say that they were making it up, I said that they were fabricating things, in that I mean saying things that are not true, or are twisted.0 -

"They wrren't making it up, they were saying things that weren't true".
Riiiiggghhhtttt. Glad that's cleared up!0 -
That makes perfect sense then :rotfl::rotfl:thetriggerhappypwner wrote: »I did not say that they were making it up, I said that they were fabricating things, in that I mean saying things that are not true, or are twisted.0 -
Why is it that everything I say is a joke? Are you actually expecting me to ride my bike illegally and get it seized by police for some sort of twisted revenge? I really don't understand why I am the target of trolls on this board when I am asking a VALID question.0

Because you don't seem to realise (and I appreciate that this isn't your fault, here) that what you said was regarded as abuse and they don't want you as a customer. I really doubt they'd waste any time fabricating audio recordings.
It might be best to get someone to phone insurance companies on your behalf and explain the issues, and I understand it can be pretty frustrating.
Did you ever get to the bottom of why they cancelled the insurance in the first place?0
