Thats not an unreasonable expectation for anyone buying a new car.
If the car was for collection before the new facelift launch date then fine but its not and I wasnt informed of the impending face lift.
Then cancel your order.0 -

THIS
Dealers arent necessarily told in advance of model changes.
Wholly agree with the "expect to pay more though".
I bought a new Cooper S in Jan 18 being delivered Feb 18 and got a great deal on exactly the car i wanted and it was built and delivered in 4 weeks.
Others on the MINi forums held off for the new facelifted model - only to find that list prices had went up by £2,000, delivered times were 10-12 weeks and dealers were reluctant to offer discounts.0 -
ok thanks guys for some of the positive input
I'm waiting on feedback from the dealership and my preference is to cancel and wait for the facelift model.
So fingers crossed0 -

Bear in mind....- You probably got a better discount being the last of the pre-facelift cars
- Prices may - in fact probably will - be up so you'll pay extra for the car in the first place
- Finance deals might not be as good (often they hold back a while on the best rates) so the finance rate might be up.
Overall your monthly payments could be up ££s.0 -

You wont be the first to do it and you wont be the last.
Find out what the new figures look like though - dont assume you'll get the same discount / finance incentives with the new car.
Also, if you've a trade in, a longer lead time might mean they offer less for it.0 -
16 weeks from now is mid-October. I'd expect the new model to be in full production by then. It's difficult to believe they'll still be building the old one in parallel.0
