I signed up for the BT deal through a link on this site in March, which seemed to be the cheapest ever deal, "Fibre b/b & line rental £408 for one year with £200 preloaded Mastercard & £50 cashback".
Broadband and line are now activated.
I checked online at BT to claim my reward on their site but was told I am not entitled to reward!
Telephoned BT and was told they dont deal with vouchers over the phone ,only by the website.i explained the BT website was telling me i wasnt entitled. Was then told to try again through the online "live chat" feature. i was informed to wait another 48 hours and they will contact me regarding the prepaid card, however for the £50 cash back reward I had to get that through Moneysavingexpert site.!
Any suggestions please???0 -

Yep, they did this to me, and a colleague at my work. Try emailing affiliates@bt.com with all your details and what you're claiming, they might be able to help.0 -
After contacting BT again I was told the preloaded mastercard will be sent in the next thirty days....however i was told for the £50 cashback i would have to contact the website i got the offer on...it was unclear whether BT meant i had to contact this site or "cable.co.uk" which was the linked i clicked on the original offer on Moneysaving expert.
Thanks for your suggestion Sewerside, i have emailed Affiliates.co.uk to seek advice there too0 -
I'm only in the UK for 6 month periods every year these days; April to October. Same every year.
I've been paying for my landline and BB every month for years even when overseas and wonder if there is a cheaper option without too much hassle.
The other thing is if I stop my landline does that mean a new telephone number when I reconnect??It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -

The answer to your question is 'yes', but there is probably no cheaper way.0 -
Just been on the phone to the BT cancellation team, Best they could offer me was £45 a month Fibre Infinity 2, I'm currently paying £53.99 a month with them!
He couldn't give me any more discount, Anyone else had much luck with haggling BT?
i don't know wether to ring them again and try get a deal or just leave and go to plus net who are a lot cheaper!0 -

For what it's worth, I found that despite several attempts it was impossible to get BT to offer a deal that matched what they were offering new customers.
That changed, however, after I'd started the switching process to TalkTalk. Once that was up and running, and it was clear that I was actually leaving BT, suddenly the deals on offer changed and matched what was on offer to new customers.
So start the switch process if you want a reasonable offer from them. I stuck with the TalkTalk switch, by the way - it's no better than BT, but certainly no worse either. And it's a lot cheaper, with much better customer service.0 -
How did they get in touch with new offers? by phone??
i suppose if i move to plusnet, they won't be too bothered as it's BT owned?0 -

They probably won't contact you - they couldn't possibly contact all the people leaving them!
But if you contact them after they've received notification of the switch (which is within hours of your starting the process) they'll be able to access new and better options for you on their screens.0
