  • Thanks for the welcome :)

I've had a productive day so far:

3 loads of washing done and on line
    Shopping done
House given a quick once over, hoover and quick dust and floors cleaned
    Lawns mowed

Now for a nice cup of tea before getting on with cooking tea and a couple of other things I'm aiming to cook, energy permitting...

The washing has blown dry whilst I was out having lunch - that's the way to do it, methinks! We had a lovely lunch (a small slinky salad each) and lots of catching up. I don't really feel like doing anything else now though. I have watered the pots, and will have to water the allotment later. In the meantime, I will try to work up enthusiasm for something. As I now have a gaping hole in the landing floor, courtesy of DH's latest diy, the impetus to try to achieve H2H is dwindling by the day. There must be something that I can fling from (one of the) RoD.....I will contemplate with a cuppa.

Jojo.. I'm supposed to have the Vit D too.. Re cholesterol.. your body creates its own so diet makes very little difference to it.. stress is a bigger factor.

my bite is huge now and I'm utterly exhausted by it.. mainly because it keeps me awake all night. The others are so much better but this one is looking veyr tick/lyme like ... just what I need... so heading back to the idiot quack to get medication that actually works and demand blood tests for borellia .. really, I just want my bed!

Off to the same park I got all the bites from for another skateboarding lesson at 5:30..

    I am cream crackered.

Six hours of paid stuff done; letters posted; Euros purchased for DH trip away; four mahoosive bags of [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE] treasure dropped at the charity shop; another chunk paid off my CC (only £250 to go :j); small top up shop done at Aldi and washing brought in off line and put away. Oh, and poo picked the lawn and put the black bin out

I am making the kiddies an easy dinner of pizza and corn-on-the-cob. I fully intend to collapse on the sofa with a beer later to watch the footie.

Have lovely evenings all, onwards and upwards xx

Washing all dry and in airing cupboard.
Birthday card completed; I still haven't found the silver ribbons, but I found a gold one which I decided would actually look better than silver, so used that. Still not tidied the box.
Mr LW has mowed back and front grass; so I've contributed to filling the wheelie by shifting a big bucket of weeds/deadheading detritus.
Doggie info for the Spaniel we met Saturday typed up/downloaded from dogsitting site - her mum has booked her in with us. :T

Thanks for the thread Natty :A

I won't be flying this week as I can hardly walk :( As well as dealing with Mum, I dealt with a sickness bug at the end of last week. Just as I was feeling better over the weekend, my leg started to hurt and now I have cellulitis! You couldn't make it up!!

Hugs to all those dealing with illness or elderly parents xx

Ouch, hope that improves soon. There do seem to be some bugs around; I went to clubbercise this morning and our instructor had been ill all weekend. Hopefully it won't have drifted my way as my holiday with Mum on Fri is a cruise and they are paranoid if you mention the sick word.

Hope things improve for you JoJo and that they are making some headway with making you better. Mr N has had a whole week without the dreaded Methotrexate now; he hasn't felt sick at all and so far his RA isn't doing much in the way of pain (although he did have a steroid injection recently which helped).

Saw my physio in passing at the gym today; I'd asked that she give any relevant details to an injury-specialist personal trainer I was recommended at the gym. They have both agreed that I no longer have pain-free as a target; just pain management for my shoulder. :( But they think a lot of it is my brain 'protecting' my shoulder as it knows that it previously hurt.....so I'm practising letting that shoulder go and not tensing. The joys of old age (or in this case, a silly aerobics injury).

Had hoped to finish my last 2 reports today, but have got about half of one left to do. At least it will be gone tomorrow.
Have also cleaned spare bathroom as we have the church group meeting in our house tomorrow (rash offer).
Done various other items off my list which I won't take time to list as I need to get on with this report.....Mr N has done a huge amount thankfully.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
