I am going to try and do a bit more this week, going away on Thursday until Monday evening so just 3 days to fly. Working Tuesday lunchtime onwards so hoping to do lounge, kitchen and bedroom and get all the washing up to date in the 2 full days I have and get packed.

So windows are open and I'm off to take things out of the lounge back to their correct rooms.
    WM is already on.

    Morning,

Washing is out blowing on the line after a dull and misty start to the day. Bathrooms have had a s&s. Rubbish is out and bins are ready for tomorrow's collection. The green garden bin weighs a ton and is full to the top. I've done most of the list for the LR, and also swept and mopped the bathroom and kitchen floors - mainly because I have been ignoring that job every time it comes up on the lists. I have also vacuumed the dirt out of the shoe cabinet. We bought it in the Swedish shop and it has transformed our hall ( as much as anything can) from being a tip to a semblance of tidiness. However, I have just realised that the dirt has to fall off the shoes to somewhere!

I'm out for lunch with an old friend today. This is the first time in nearly 2 years that we have managed to get together, so we are meeting in a pub half way. Scarily enough, we met before either of us had children, and now they are all teenagers and closer to the end of school than the beginning.

I'm going to sneak a quick coffee, brace myself to make a couple of phone calls, then get changed and be off. I'll catch you all later.

Welcome Hopeless Case; this is a very friendly thread, so don't worry about being new to it.

I too have done a WM load this morning (Mr LW's clothes) and that's all out on the whirligig now. :T

I need to tackle some Frogs this week - one of which is sorting/tidying my card-making stuff. I'm partway through making C's birthday card, and I know for a fact I have some little silver ribbons somewhere in the box, but can I find them? Can I heck! C's birthday is 28th June, so I need to crack on and get it done.

  • Morning.

Had GP appointment - I'm not about to keel over, apparently.

But my Vitamin D level has plummeted - again - so I'm back on the mega doses of the stuff. As expected, the inflammatory markers are up again, too, so when I said it was flaring, I was right. And I have to go back to work on Thursday, whether I like it or not :( Apparently, 'studies' show that the longer I'm off, the less likely I am to return. Was tempted to ask about what studies show when somebody who hates their job and is being worked into the ground by it is forced to go back when they don't feel any better, but rather sensibly decided against it; they don't know me very well there yet.

I've also apparently got quite high cholesterol. Which is weird, as I don't really eat [strike]anything much when he's flip flopping about for weeks on end[/strike] the usual culprits (fatty or processed meat, dairy products or pastries/transfats).

Himself is in the process of washing up and then doing some food, I'm going to try and get a telephone appointment with a Rheumatology Nurse at the hospital, which will take a day or two IIRC, to see whether they could suggest something in the meantime. as being unable to use my left arm properly is a right PITA, never mind the other stuff, and then I'll try and sort out some sort of meal planning for the next few weeks.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I have just cleaned the outside of the garage door, it was filthy to say the least, took me three goes, now I am happy it is FL clean!!

Some washing in off line folded and away

    Eaten lunch.
