No one admits liability in these situations. It’s a long story but back in 2001, Arnold Clark/Shark messed up a number plate retention that they were supposed to do. They could fix the problem with my co-operation but I didn’t agree. In the end they paid me £305 without prejudice for the price paid for the plate plus retention fee.0 -

Indeed, I suspect the previous post was suggesting people do not take the musings of internet strangers to be professional advice. I like forums though, you can almost guarantee some left field solutions. Good as a starting point but not to be taken as definitive......
Indeed. Some people are so pedantic.
What most people mean on these forums by advice falls under 2 buckets:
1) opinions that agree with my preconceived ideas
2) "advice" I should really be paying for.
Neither of which is real "advice" that could be relied upon.
