Interesting! So they don't admit liability but are paying out anyway?

Are you prepared to share your correspondence with them that got you to this result? It would be a lesson for all of us.

I didn’t expect to see the letter but well done to OP.

No one admits liability in these situations. It’s a long story but back in 2001, Arnold Clark/Shark messed up a number plate retention that they were supposed to do. They could fix the problem with my co-operation but I didn’t agree. In the end they paid me £305 without prejudice for the price paid for the plate plus retention fee.

Funny how people go quiet when you ask them to clarify their accusation.

Indeed, I suspect the previous post was suggesting people do not take the musings of internet strangers to be professional advice. I like forums though, you can almost guarantee some left field solutions. Good as a starting point but not to be taken as definitive......

Indeed. Some people are so pedantic.

What most people mean on these forums by advice falls under 2 buckets:

    1) opinions that agree with my preconceived ideas
    2) "advice" I should really be paying for.

Neither of which is real "advice" that could be relied upon.

You get what you pay for.

Enjoying the team names. I am picturing "Claims officer 1 reporting to Red Claims Leader, come in Red Claims Leader....Red Claims Leader receiving...I'm with Admiral Ackbar"
