End of Jan ?
but that depends on the vote in Parliament on Friday. Even with the majority we could still be back to square one come this time next week
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0 -
I think the deal is supposed to be signed by end of Jan but he said new agreements not in place till this time next year.Spend less now, work less later.0

The Withdrawal Agreement will come into effect on 31 January and I think it will probably mean very little changes initially, because it provides for a transition period. I'm not thinking of upping my stores for anything other than the usual winter bad weather preparations.
It will be interesting to see if the rise in the £ holds - that should do a lot to stop prices skyrocketingIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
He's a confirmed & proven liar, Mx_Emmin, just stock up as energy & finds permit.
Notice that So Far the shops are still open, the jobs are still being done - we still have a small window of relative tranquility. (Just I'd not recommend getting ill.)0 -
Whatever transpires we'll find ways to still live good lives, our definition of 'good' may evolve into something vastly different to the over egging of the pudding of life that has become the norm these days and be simpler pleasures but life can still be enjoyed and contentment found even in the smallest things in life.0

Not everyone will - not those on the streets, not those who rely on foodbanks, not those who are ill and need medical attention and care in their homes. No amount of prepping is going to help them.
And it was all so bl00dy unnecessary.....I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
I'm spending some of the Christmas break documenting what I have & where it's near end of date either feeding the chaps with it or taking it to the local drop point for the food bank.
I'm a devout believer in playing the vouchers game for good causes. I even get free samples to drop off, plump a hamper or generally route to those who might be short of the "daily skincare regime".0 -
Oh joys. Lest you be feeling the season of joy & goodwill overmuch, have a quick scout round this lot[/URL] that you may be prepared especially for any travel you hoped for.
And there still may be a transition period.

Don't worry about us.
Those of us who through no fault of their own (never smoked, not overweight, don't drink, exercised regularly) are already ill (genetic coronary heart disease) and looking after a husband with Parkinson's disease have learnt over the past six years that we can expect nothing or less from this government.
It would be nice if our medication was assured, but hey, think of the money that will be saved if we can't get it, die early and 'decrease the surplus population '.
I've been a prepper for a very long time. I'm not grateful for my store cupboard though, or for my other preps. It took time and effort to try to cover all eventualities and I did it all by myself. Never expect any help from politicians, and you won't be disappointed, my father used to say and I don't. But I am very worried about the future of the nhs and most sincerely hope that I'll still be alive this time next year to enjoy all of the simpler pleasures but life0 -
