LW and everyone else too, looking after yourself should be your number one priority and if that takes time then others have to do the other jobs they want doing.

Good day flying here, my desk is clear. I now have a frog of sorting out the medical file but the motivation is that it means we will then get some refunds so that's good. DD2 has done brilliatly too, heaps of old books and papers thrown out, and pie of revison books to go to Emaus.

WM has been on 3 times and all dried, ironed/folded and put away. DW unloaded and is slowly filling up.

Phone call made straight away instead of putting it off, I avoid the phone if possible as worry about people not understanding me, even if I am just about bilingual. It was quick and easy and the person was most helpful and friendly, why did I even worry about it.

Early dinner tonight as DD2 going climbing so I will enjoy a quiet evening in front of the cooking on the tv.

Last week for all my kids groups this week so will be fun but very intense, with loads of over excited children.

    Time for a cuppa
    xx

    Poldark watched
3 hours of gardening done, more weeds pulled out, another 4 for 5 hours or so and I think I will finally be there and it will be looking reasonable again, thank goodness

LW you do what you can when you can, I have now taken the view if it has to wait a week or so, so what...........it doesn't really matter (except for the maggot bin which in this heat goes out once a week with out fail!)

    Pizza for dinner

Watter the plant pots in a bit

Washing in folded / ironing put to one side.

  • Got dropped home at midnight because I couldn't finish breaking the kit, load out, transferring the gear into storage and then coming home. I was shattered by ten.

Woke up hurting again, limped into work and got told off for not doing something quickly enough.

Went and did it - it too ages, as everything seems to right now (which is why I'd already made an appointment at the new GP for Friday), went to send an email and, because I never hit send without doublechecking it first, read it - and was absolutely horrified at it being littered with typos. I don't make typos, my emails and my texts are always written with perfect spelling, punctuation and are grammatically correct.

I told the boss. She told me that I've been mixing up my words for the last week and it's even worse today.

I phoned the GP again and they told me to come straight in.

I'm now signed off work for a minimum of a week, have 'passed' her initial thoughts of high blood pressure or a brain bleed , but she wants me back next Monday, I've got a fasting bloods appointment this Thursday and she is definitely not happy about the symptoms.

Work is gonna love this. It's a whole year and twelve days since my long term absence for illness expired, so it's not included in triggering any Occupational Health or disciplinary matters. It's a hugely busy half term and I was already getting grief for not keeping up. From their point of view, this is a nightmare.

And from my point of view?

    I've got a week off.

  • Oh. God.

He's now berating himself for not feeding me properly and being away so much, as he'd already 'noticed [I'd] lost some weight recently'.

I'd quite like for him to hold off on that until after he's cooked some bloody food, because at this rate, I'm going to be in bed before he's stopped fussing.

Jojo - everything crossed for you.

Level 1 just about done, but the dining room will have to wait until tomorrow. Or another day. HHI done, which has cleared the hill that was threatening to become a mountain. Lunches for tomorrow sorted, DW running, pots watered, some sort of meal plan for the week in progress.

DH actually asked if we were going for a walk this evening without being cajoled. However he walked sooooo slowly that I nearly had time for a nap in between steps. After 2 walks last week he thinks he has pulled a muscle. Give me strength. But It also turns out that the doctor has recalled him after a recent visit. So why doesn't he tell me this stuff?? On the plus side it sounds like the GP and I are on the same page.

I need to write myself a realistic list for tomorrow, as it is all going round in my head atm, and that means nothing will get done.

Oh and LW - you are every bit deserving of being called a Flylady and some. Look after yourself and as it says - everything comes round again next week. I tell myself that all the time. X
