Sorted it. Auto fill had meant my house number was in twice 1717 instead of 17

Email just received to confirm notification of my deposit to Gatehouse and my account will mature 14TH June 2019.

Likewise. It also states a start date of 14th June 2018 - I'm assuming this is when the fixed term account will be opened and funded with Gatehouse Bank.

For the sake of completeness, I am going to hold off sending the bonus email until I see the actual account open in my Raisin UK account. I don't wan't to give them a reason to decline my bonus.

As it stands, the £1k is still held as cash and can be withdrawn from my Raisin UK account.

EDIT: the funds have now been allocated to Gatehouse bank (and I no longer have a pending order), but it still shows a start date of 14th June so I will send the email on Thursday.

Received same email re "This is an email to confirm your new Gatehouse Bank Fixed Term Deposit will now be purchased with a balance of £1,000.00." (My underlining).

    Under "Holdings" it is :-
    Application Date; 11/06/2018.

Product; Gatehouse Bank 1 Year Fixed Term Deposit (Raisin Issue).

    Balance; £1000.00

    Accrued Interest; £0.00

    Maturity Date; 14/06/2019.

    Now is this enough to send claim email? Bearing in mind the following from their website;

Their info on the bonus states: -
"How do I claim my launch bonus?

Once you've opened and funded your first savings product with one of our partner banks, please send an email to bonus@raisin.co.uk, within 30 days from the email address you registered with, containing the account holder's name(s) with "Launch bonus" in the subject line. We will credit your bonus to your nominated bank account within 60 days of your claim.

How and when will I be paid my launch bonus?

We will credit your launch bonus to your nominated account within 60 days of you funding your first savings product. "

Also to receive the bonus re red highlighted above, how would this identify the holder? They are not asking for an account number.

It probably is and those who have already sent an email will likely get their bonus. But in my mind, the account hasn't been 'opened and funded' because when I view my transactions it says 'purchase on 14/06/2018'. It also states a start date of 14th June within the email I received earlier this morning.

There is no rush to claim the bonus - there is still plenty of time to send the email. Patience is a virtue. I am going to send my email on Thursday.

They will identify you by the name you put in the email and the email address it is sent from (both must match your Raisin UK account).

  • I sent my email after the confirmation of receipt, now I am not sure if I should send another email after the 14th or just leave things as they are!

What is your thinking behind holding off on sending bonus email?

  • Does anyone know how Raisin is regulated? How do I know that my money really will be invested with one of their partner banks? Is it protected in the period between me sending it to Raisin and them depositing it with one of the banks?

(I looked for Raisin on the FSCS and PRA websites but found nothing).
