AH - that is a really lovely pressie.

Went over to mum's this afternoon to clear her drive of snow, but she said someone knocked at her door, gave his name and said he lived "down the road" and would clear her driveway so that she could get out if needed.
Managed to find out who he was and went and knocked on his door to say thank you and took him a bottle of wine. He refused the wine and said he was glad to be able to help and only hoped that someone would do the same for his mum if she needed help. He had asked other neighbours if there was anyone elderly that needed their driveway clearing as he felt it was important to keep an eye on the older folks. He wanted to feel part of the community as he has only recently moved in. Just brought a really warm feeling that someone could be so nice.

What a lovely kind thing to do. At least you know someone was thinking of your mum's safety whilst you weren't there.

    Morning all

Going to chance goin to the little sains near us this morning to get some fresh bread etc as forecasting more bad weather this afternoon.

My little boy got up this morning with some very strange comments (must have been having vey weird dreams) he told me that did I know timmy (the cartoon sheep from timmy time) is 304 years old which is quite old but not as old as god and Jesus coz they beat everyone !!!! Lol really wasn't sure how to respond to that bless him.

Right off to brave the cold

  • Morning all - anybody else getting a bit cheesed off with the white stuff now? Want/need to go out but reluctant to leave the warm lol

Also don't fancy going down the road sideways if I skid:( but supposed to be meeting friends later for coffee. Had to cancel a couple of weeks ago due to lurgy and would like to have gone this time. I'll see later.

Been speaking to DS who lives somewhere nice and warm. 19c this morning so should reach low 20s lunchtime ish. Asked him to send some sun over here please:rotfl:as fed up of the cold

We had big probs getting the snow to stick first few days but now it's been down almost a week and it's gotten slightly warmer (above zero anyway) the snow has got better to build with. But we cheat and just dig up the snow with shovel and pile in heap then sculpt rater than rolling ball like you are supposed to
