Totally out of mojo today. I don't have anything to look forward to through the summer. I'm trying with the volunteering and Saturday work - but that is only because I feel I have to, otherwise the rest of my life will be empty. Today I would like to go back to bed and forget about the World.

    Hi Dimps_123
Been following your diary and I get where you're coming from...
Have you tried Meet-up? It's a good way to find like minded folks and groups to share hobbies and interests with.
Please don't feel that you are alone cos you have a whole bunch of folks on here to help and support you ;)

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Thanks UncannyScot. I'm annoyed with myself - as I was so motivated a week or so ago, but have let everything get on top of me - for absolutely no reason. I have filled up several online baskets with stuff I don't need, luckily I had the strength to delete them lol.

I have weeks like that too Dimps, it's normal and you're not alone. I always find that keeping busy and doing a job that makes me feel like I've achieved something helps to brighten my mood. Either that, or going for a walk somewhere although I know it's sometimes hard to make yourself go on your own.

Well done for deleting the online baskets. I do the same - I call it 'window shopping'! :rotfl: I realised a long time ago that having lots of 'stuff' stresses me out even more so I made a conscious effort to reduce what I had around me and get rid of things I didn't need or didn't use. It definitely saved me money (ebaying, gumtree and just not buying stuff) and left me feeling a lot calmer and able to manage the house better. I've let that slide a bit since I moved house, but really need to have a sort through my clothes and household stuff again soon. Perhaps you could start a little ebay pile, sell some things and use the money frivoulously for yourself to give yourself something to look forward to?

Chin up Dimps, things will be brighter soon x

Thanks MeandO and Toni'sfriend :-) you're right keep going and a sort out, that's what I need. I also need to write down all my incomings and outgoings - I know it'll be a huge debt total but at least it'll give me a goal.

The positive is that once you know where you are you can start doing something about it and make plans and move on. xx

It'll soon pass too Dimps. Just remember that every little tiny bit chips away at it and it all helps. Make it into a little game for yourself - that's what I tried to do when I was paying off my debt and it definitely made it a bit more fun. I do it now every month with my mortgage - I challenge myself to overpay by a minimum of £150 a month. Sometimes the extra money comes from selling stuff, sometimes from cashback and at other times just by making savings in my budget, but instead of thinking 'ooh I have X amount spare, what shall I spend it on?' I pay it straight to the mortgage.

If you haven't already tried it, YNAB (You need a budget) is a fantastic budegting tool which has helped me no end.
