Definately leave it til spring to sell, no-one will be cutting their grass at the moment, and most people are saving for christmas so you wouldnt get a good price right now.:TThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Afternoon everyone!
I'm at my mother's house at the mo, and have just been telling her about you all. I've also printed her one of Martin's articles on current accounts, so that she can work out where to move her's to.
Well after cleaning my kitchen at home, I came around here and made the flapjacks (yummy - we've just finished 1 each with a cup of redbush tea). When I pulled the scales out from against the wall, I realised that the kitchen could do with a good clean, so I've pulled everything off the worktops, cleaned the worktops with flash bleach spray after locating the rubber gloves, cleaned everything taken off the worktops and replaced them all, and cleaned the fronts of their units and washing machine. It all looks a lot better in there now, but I'm aware that lurking beneath the now clean exteriors, is a nasty mess - speaking of which, this keyboard is yucky! I must bring my cleaning stuff with me if I come again tomorrow, as I don't think my dad knows how to clean properly, and my mum is still flat on her poorly back.
Off to wash my hands now. Will catch up again tonight.

Another one that has missed the site, but especially all my friends here!
I couldn't get on yesterday at all, so I did a bit of the kitchen in a half hearted way, and before going to work this morning, I did vacuum through downstairs. Everything else will have to wait for me to do a bit of a catch up tomorrow. The living room is suffering the effects of three teenagers home for halfterm last week, and there is a drift of belongings around the edge that is starting to make its way towards the centre of the room. I can't remember what the top of the coffee table looks like, but I'm very up to date with the latest PS2 games...
On the plus side, the main bedroom is definitely showing signs of progress - the exercise bike has been freecycled, and was taken within 30 minutes! The children have also done a great job on their own rooms.:T
Lovely day for work today!
Tomorrow will be a quick blitz on the house, weekly shopping and then off to visit my mother, as I haven't been over during the halfterm. She didn't catch the C dificile bug thank goodness, although one of the other women tested positive, and was moved. Mum is more stable, and they have asked us to go back to the regular visiting times. Hopefully, we may be able to think of a nursing home sometime soon instead of the hospital, although the costs are bound to be high.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Well I'm home, so as promised, I'm going to do Monday's list now (did Tuesday's this morning as I wanted to at least have done the list from the current day, and not fall behind catching up with Monday). Just need to edit the list a little as I don't have stairs etc.

Ahhhh, its so good to be back. DD2 and I de-cluttered her room and wardrobe on Sunday. There was a big box of school stuff and we went through everything, so cute to see all her Primary 1 things, we were very selective, kept a few writing books, some artwork, project books and we put her baby Annabel in there with all her clothes, her talking Barney the Dinosaur and other bits and pieces. DD is at secondary now and we had a good time looking back.
We had visitors on Sunday so house was tidy. The kitchen is so much easier to keep clean and tidy now since we have the dishwasher. I still have trouble with keeping the cupboards neat. I have a good clearout and then slowly it gets all messy again and disorganised grrr
Did living toom today (thought of Pipens list) even though I have a really sore molar (dentist yesterday thinks I have an abcess and gave me antibiotics)
Kids to halloween party tonight so a bit of piece for me.
Oh yeah, I was going to ask you lovely people, What is Morrison like for shopping, price wise and quality? We have just had one built, it is a superstore and have not been yet? What do you all think?
Speak soon, hope you are all well0 -
