Get yourself some dioralyte re-hydration salts, should make you feel better and ease the kidney pain. sip it slowly to avoid seeing it again!!The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Afternoon all
Two loads of washing out, it's a gorgeous day. Includes the throws from the living room.
I cleaned kitchen and living room yesterday. Might vacuum again after dinner. Had the Asda delivery today. The freezer thing on the van broke on the way so I got the money refunded for all the frozen stuff and got to keep it, and it wasn't even defrosted! ResultMade up for the leaking bathroom cleaner which I had to clear up (which also got refunded).
I'm not tired and tearful - I'm just in a raging temper. Don't ask me why because I have no idea. Hormones (menopausal) I suppose. Hope it passes, I think I nearly made a Halifax person cry......well they shouldn't keep ringing me with customer service calls when I've asked them to stop. We don't use them for anything now the mortage is paid off and if they want to tell us something they can write. I did feel a (little bit) guilty after, like I'd kicked a puppy, but I wasn't half as nasty to her as I was to the one who rang last week!0 -
Afternoon All,
Glad the forums is back, it might help to get my bum into gear.
DH working at home today but goes to work tonight, so going work like a mad woman tomorrow and thursday.
Cause everything is pretty much sorted and uncluttered it won't take too long, but I'm goin g to give everything a deep clean so its not too bad for when we get back.
So today, have hoovered downstairs and I'm working my way through the washing pile.
Will also pack and get children to give me anything that was dirty, but is now clean to pack as well.
I'll also try to do general tidying as and when, though it will be much easier to wait until DH goes to work.
Big hugs, kisses, prayers for everyone who is feeling rough, miserable, tired, upset etc.....chin up......0 -
Hi All
Its so lovely to be back to "normal" on this thread.
Quick update from me, had a really horrid weekend. I was up most of Saturday night being ill and then Sunday Morning woof decided to snap at DD1 leaving teethmarks down her right cheek. I was sat next to him at the time and she did nothing to create such a reaction (other than come to me). He had previously snapped at her about 2 weeks ago but we gave him the benefit of the doubt as she said that was her fault. So after much soul searching we phoned the rehoming centre and arrange for DH to take him back. its the hardest thing I have ever had to do sending him back there and it really is breaking my heart. I spend all yesterday morning and afternoon in tears, and then again once the littles had gone to bed. I bet you all think we are evil sods for sending him back but other than have him in a muzzle when the kids are around I really did not know what else we could do. DH has filled in the forms stating not suitable to be rehomed with kids (I think his original owners should have done this:mad: ).
My head knows it was the right thing to do but my heart screaming at me. I cannot believe how quickly I fell in love with the little fellow. Anyway enough waffle as this has set me off again so change of subject.
Today as a means to stop thinking I have:-
Tidied right through
Floors hoovered
Dusted Lounge
Cleaned mirrors
Wash out kitchen bin
Repainted kitchen wall behind bin
Mopped kitchen, bathroom and hall
Dusted in girls room
Wiped kitchen cupboard fronts
I am just about to go tackle the garage, you just cannot move in there and we need the xmas decs right at the back in the next few weeks. 50% listing fees for ebay tomorrow if you use paypal too so will make the most of that me thinks.0 -
I know we have a NZ flylady....do we have any Aussie flyladies?0

Shell - I think you did the right thing heeding the warning signs - if woof could do that when unprovoked, then what could happen if they were a bit rough with him?
Maybe he just needs to be in a home where he's the sole centre of attention.
(and I think you're right as well in that the previous owners/rehoming centre should have said something so that you could have made an informed decision)I'd rather be watching CSI!0 -
just a quickie to say shell absolutely the right thing to do - for the children, you and the dog, dont' beat yourself up about it
right off to hang out washing and either bit of study (its a breastfeeding one and i keep putting it off now i am at the not just thinking about it stage!) or bit of kitchen which is equally needy - both jobs i am putting off!!!!0 -
Thanks for you comments guys, they really have made me feel that we made the right choice. I too hope he goes to the home of a lonely pensioner where he will be well loved and pampered.
Well garage is looking better, unfortunately my bedroom is now covered in stuff to photo for ebay (we live in a bungalow so I honestly did not lug it upstairs;) ). I had best put the batteries on to charge too. We can now reach the box of xmas decs and the 3 xmas trees we have.
We have got a petrol mower that we no longer need at this house do you think it is better to leave it till next spring to sell??
DD2 driving me nuts has just hit her falling asleep on her feet stage, given that she was awake again at 4.50am this morning:mad: .0
