    Maybe this is an opportune moment to remind everyone to keep your computer security up to scratch (head over to the techie board if you're not sure how). These kinds of attacks (DDOS) are achieved by making use of everyday users' (like you and me) PCs that have been infected with virus or spyware and then using the power of thousands (or lots more) PCs at once without the PC owners knowledge. Although making sure all MSE members' PCs are clean it may not stop it happening again at least we can make sure we're not actually part of the problem in DDOS attacks (and spamming as well for that matter).

    Maybe a reminder on general computer security and windows critical updates in the next newsletter would be productive and the best direct action we can all take in helping prevent this kind of criminal activity.
