Oh !!!!!! it's a soak away buried under ground, it's not a safety concern, it's not going to cause any problems so what on earth is all this negativity for. It should be covered, It's been exposed to have a rant about that's all.0

The problem is that, according to the op, this is on a driveway and that installation is not suitable to be driven over.0

If one were feeling aggressive about the whole thing one might drive over it a few times ... I do apologise, I get real territorial aggression in these situations. It makes me stress just to read the thread.0 -
I would check they didn't also use the limestone chippings from your drive as the neutralising medium.I feel your anger Soot2006! They didn't even ask permission! Why didn't they just go inside and make themselves a nice breakfast as well with a couple of mugs of nice Typhoo tea with two sugars and some biscuits as well.

Building regs state that the drain body should be installed a minimum of 500mm from the house.silverchoice wrote: »
They're a pain. Get a winter period like we had a few months ago and it will likely freeze up, causing the boiler to shut down.
A much better arrangement is to route the condensate internally to a waste pipe, if that's possible.0 -
Where is the boiler flue coming out & where is your boundary ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
I wouldn't be overly happy with that, it is installed correctly as long as it is at least 500mm away from your house but I don't think it's acceptable for your neighbor to think that's ok. The installer must of know they couldn't get the condense away when they quoted for the job unless it was carried out by a company that didn't visit the property to quote like boxt.
As southcoast has said where does the flue come out because that isn't allowed to terminate over your property.0 -
Mine goes to a drain and the installer gave that as the sensible option. I also would object to someone doing this with or without asking.0
