What an archaic phrase to use.
Is it? Maybe it's regional. I'm female and would quite happily say it about myself or someone else. If some bloke started chatting me up, I'd quite likely say 'Sorry mate, I'm spoken for'. Even better if you have a sparkler (ring) to flash at 'em.fishybusiness wrote: »Probably sexist too.
Goes without saying :rotfl:
I just reread when you said about wishing you'd met her before your wife. Nah, she's a wrong un. What you mean is, you wish you'd shagged her before meeting your wife as you'd probably have had a better time in bed lol.
Hope you find someone to have some fun with. So long as cards are on the table and everyone knows where they stand and you don't lead anyone on, there are lots of people you should be looking forward to meeting now. Forwards, not backwards.
Good luck.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -

I've heard the phrase, have probably had it used about me around 50 years ago.
That's what I meant with 'archaic'.0 -
Neither archaic nor sexist, IMO. Could easily be used for either a man or a woman, and still much in usage today. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

This will f*ck you up, steer well clear. It will turn your new 16-year family completely against you, and will be the reason for your divorce. No matter what is said, it will be the reason. This sister will make up, and you will be the "bad man".
What you actually need to do is the following -
1. Check that she actually means it, ask her to book a hotel ( if poss provide proof).
2. Chat with her husband, explain to him what has been going on. Tell him you plan to meet with her, then you want him to turn up...!
3. Meet up with her...
4. Husband comes along....
5. You leave...
*You might not be the first person she has approached, this could be her "thing" and a bit of "teasing", or she could be a "player" and husband has been suspecting things for year.0 -
That is a lot of potential aggravation.
I would simply avoid her altogether if possible. If not, avoid being alone with her. If not, just make it clear, in as nice a way as you can, that it would be a bad idea, and you do not want to cause your ex-wife (her sister) more upset than the divorce is probably already causing her.0 -
Just think, if she accidentally got pregnant by you any existing children from your current marriages would have a new sibling who is also their cousin!0

Could be a ploy to get favourable divorce terms for the wife.
I understand the kink of it though, Make sure to wear a lock and key on your trousers next time. It's a lot harder to say no when it's offered in front of you.

Your partner cheating on you won't get you a more favourable settlement. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Not much point in a lock AND a key!0
