1) The reason they wouldn't accept it? Let me hear your god given knowledge. HSBC have the right to do business with whomever they see fit (rightly so) if they had closed my account due misuse, fraud or criminal activity I could understand future accounts being rejected but for multiple (VALID I might add) complaints is somewhat excessive.2) Yes, let's not complain to banks when they've done something wrong, try to hide it and blame it on others.3) I'm not trying to force them do anything, never stated that I have or am. Simply that they are offering the best option for us at this moment and we are considering it, if your still baffled you have more money than sense.4) I asked for help regarding a SAR, not your opinion on what or who I should or should not be doing business.I find it odd they would close an account down for that reasonif there is a way I might be able to find out more information regarding that then I will.I don't want to start going down a route where we might get rejected because of a current account being closed.0

I gave you help on your original question and in response you chose to introduce more detail about how aggrieved you are and that you're tempted to apply for a mortgage with them, so, based on that further info, I'm politely suggesting that you may be wasting your time.
Your reply, to me, seemed somewhat high and mighty and slightly condescending.
I am aware of what HSBC may say and they have every right. I am just slightly aggrieved as the rates I would have gotten being an Advanced customer with 20 years of loyalty to them would've been a much cheaper than what is currently available to us.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Are you hoping they're going to honour those rates for you despite not being a customer of theirs any more?0

What sort of information are you hoping to uncover from the SAR?
What do you plan to do with it once you've got it?
