Good morning all...been awake for hours enjoying a truly magnificent thunderstorm. Didn't enjoy the trembling 10 stone Ridgeback on my bed though :o Down side is that several leaks have appeared in delicate parts of the north wall, so mopping and blotting have commenced. Oh the joys of a Tudor farmhouse :rotfl:

ATB - super, special, squishy hugs for you my lovely. We are here when you feel ready to talk. Sometimes life can be so unkind :( Thinking of you and hoping things start to improve very soon xxx

Yorkie - what car did you end up buying for your DS?

Enjoying a cuppa, then might have a bath and get going for the day. See you all later x

    Hi all

Oh atb you seem to have had your more than your fair share of cr*p this past year. Keep posting, we are all with you my love x

Dizzy love a good thunderstorm - bet heavy rain is not something you really want tho. Bought DS a 12 year old Toyota Corrolla which is lovely. We set out with a budget of £1500 max but had to go to £2k to find something that we were all happy with and wasnt battered and/or hadnt done ridiculously high mileage. We will be lucky to get £800 for his current car so with the £1000 insurance this is expense that we really dont need at the moment. Still have £700 garage bills for our own car and his existing car to pay as well.

A couple of people have said to us that he is very lucky that we have done this but how can we not help him? He earns £3.50 an hour and has to have a car for work. He keeps insisting that we will get it all back one day.

So I have been up early balancing transferring on our credit cards. WM on, no idea what the rest of the day brings.

    sending hugs to ATB.

Turned over in be last night and fell out. I was 'sort of' awake, and landed on my right knee, which is now very painful.

    Lines are full of washing.

Valli - hope the knee is better soon and doesn't restrict your flying during half term!

I have dyed my hair, sorted the pan cupboard, walked the dogs, put the recycling out and the second of five washloads is now in the machine.

    Out to the garden now.

atb (((HUGS))) I am so sorry for your loss. Any words I have are inadequate, but please know you are in my thoughts. x

Dizzy Sorry but I did have to laugh at the "trembling 10 stone Ridgeback" - we had a thunderstorm here too, but we didn't hear a peep out of Dusty, I think he slept through it (as did Mr LW).

Breakfast and Walkies have been done; and Dusty has run out of poo bags. Good job I have a ready supply of them. ;) He also didn't bring a towel with him, so he's borrowing a hand towel for his dirty paws. I need to do a hot-wash soon anyway, so I'll defer it til Tuesday and that towel can go in with everything else.

I have another Meet'n'Greet on Friday, so getting nervous about that - it's two dogs and their owner; apparently one of the dogs has major separation issues, so we'll need to discuss how to keep him happy.

Flying remains sporadic, but I do have a full wheelie of garden detritus to go out on [STRIKE]Tuesday[/STRIKE] Wednesday (a day late this week cos of Bank Hol).

Valli ouchy! That's something Mr LW does on an alarmingly regular basis; trouble is, you feel such a fool, too, don't you? Best rest that knee if you can; knees can be funny things when injured (believe me, I know!!)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

That's still a very generous thing to do, YL, and it's even lovelier to know that he's appreciative of the help you're giving him.

Up early as my alarm clock was the sound of a dog being sick. Not sure which one but told DH it was not the one licking his face to get him up.

(((Hugs))) ATB. We're all here for you, and Frodders, who I think is going through an equally difficult time.

Sorry to hear about the knee Valli, but I think that sounds as though you need to administer chocolate orally asap and put your leg up for the duration of the bank holiday.

The table top sale came and went as these things do, and I'd like to ask Flyladies to remind me next time I say I'm going something similar that it really isn't worth it financially. However, what it's made me realise is that I really won't mind letting all of this stuff go and the local hospice will do very nicely thank you out of it.

I'm too shatterd to do much flying today after an exhausting three weeks so I'm going to run a couple of loads through the WM and peg them out, water the pots and pear tree and if I have any energy left at all, do some sewing. I'm on to an easy bit, so I'm rather looking forward to it but OH is away for a couple of days from tomorrow, so either way it'll be a quiet few days around here.
    Better is good enough.

HB, I was hoping you were going to say the sale was worth it as I'm doing one at the end of next month. I've already paid for my table (ony £5) so hopefully will at least cover that and it'll be a morning out.

Third washload in machine. Back garden deadheaded and weeded, except odds and sods in the patio which I'll do when I've finished this cuppa.

I'm trying to pace myself because it is so so hot today.
