Rainy day today; J gone to work so he's going to get wet. Been having a whale of a time driving tractors around and they even asked him to be in charge yesterday .... think he's going to ask for a pay rise today. Not at the yard today so paid work and flying though am going to meet my friend for lunch at 12.

Dizzy great having the remote to yourself isn't it!

Right, onto paid stuff now ....

    Morning all.

Big (((hugs))) to Frodders. Such a hard situation for you, I know - I hope the help you and your mum need comes quickly.

Yesterday DH and I cleaned downstairs and [drum-roll please!]I even steam-mopped the kitchen floor. I also emptied most of the patio pots. DH has decided not to do a second coat of decking oil, so I will move the pots back and plant them up again asap.

Today I have to go and run the toddler group and do some food shopping. I also have Minutes to write of yesterday's meeting. I have already done a bit of admin work and sorted some papers off my desk into neat piles on the floor

The good news is that I passed my last assignment (the one I re-wrote in the 24 hours before the deadline) :j

Cooler and cloudier here today, with a strong wind and the occasional shower, but not enough to need a raincoat.

Hope everyone has a good day xx

    It's me again!

Very proud of myself, so had to crow about it here!

    My kitchen is S P O T L E S S

Actually, it looks like we've moved out...

I have also cleaned one of the windows inside and out, all six glass panels on the front door, inside and out, and emptied the ironing basket.

Sitting down with a cuppa now *smug smile*

Today, after a really, really bad night, I have:
    • Made pizza dough
    • Made a loaf (actually the BM is making it as I type)
    • Prepped a whole pineapple (a very large one) into rings for the freezer (one kept out for cutting in pieces for the pizza)
    • Refilled several kitchen containers with dry goods from the store in the end room
    • Sorted the recycling and taken it out to the shed
    • Cleaned all the kitchen surfaces
    • Checked my email and cleared it
    • Called a new client to set up a meet'n'greet with her two dogs
    • Told Mr LW to get off his bum and find something to do (he was sitting doing sweet f a)
    Mr LW has:
    • Done a little light dusting in the bedroom
    • Done a bit of washing up
    • Emptied the kitchen waste into the green wheelie (after I finished prepping the pineapple)
    • Read his book
I'm not sure if it's progress or not......
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Hello :)

    It's me! I'm here :j

Bought a new lap top this morning - I was missing my flyladies so much :(

Think I've got it set up and anti-virussed ok. Fingers crossed x

Now I have to go have two tyres fitted to Pip; June will defo see me joining the scrimpers!

Flying? I'm on Annual Leave this week and steady bimbling has resulted in total obliteration of Mount Washmore and the stack of recycling, plus I'm nearly on top of the pots... just lunch boxes and pans to do.

Tyres first. Then I'll have a catch up on the thread.

    Hugs to all

    Rxx

My get up and go has gone already today, and yesterday was a bit of a wipe out as far as flying goes. Work has been crazy as its the long weekend next week.

I've been feeling a bit despondent about the cleaning for a while. I'm not sure why I always want everything done on one day which is ridiculous, but then I feel down cos I know it can't all be done in one day and end up doing nothing. Makes me feel even worse
The bits of flying I have done so far on my first week back have made the house feel so much nicer. :):):)

Had a bit of a hoover earlier and feels like a good start. I've got the whole of half-term off so will be able to do a proper fly by next week. No excuses :D

Its been great following along, thanks for having me. :)

Hey, welcome back, roundtuit! I was wondering yesterday if you'd sorted your laptop or not. And then you pop up.
Well done, supersaver. Every little helps, as someone likes to say, and it's good to have you along.
    Super well done Iona. :T:T
Completely jealous of Dizzy. A spotless kitchen and sole use of the remote in one day. What is the world coming to.

It's been a stressy type of day today. I stayed at work for 2 hours extra to sort out some things, and could easily have stayed for another 4 hours. As all the extra time is unpaid, I decided to come home instead. :o. Bathrooms etc have been cleaned, and a few bits of filing done. As it is raining, I am trying to summon up enthusiasm to sort some paperwork out so that I can shut the filing cabinet drawer. I'm sure that I can find something else far more interesting to do...

Congratulations on passing the assignment, Ionafan. And thanks (not) for reminding me I've got a set of minutes to create, as well.

I've been feeling a bit despondent about the cleaning for a while. I'm not sure why I always want everything done on one day which is ridiculous, but then I feel down cos I know it can't all be done in one day and end up doing nothing. Makes me feel even worse

I feel exactly the same. I'd love the house to me sparkly all the time, but the reality is that it very, very occasionally is, and the rest of the time, it'll just about do. There is no doubt that the only way it'll ever be less depressing is to do a bit, just a bit, every day and those bits mount up. Even 15 minutes is too much for me sometimes, but something now gets done every day, so that it never feels as though I've let myself down. We all have days when we nothing, do don't beat yourself up if that happens - just pick a relatively quick and easy task you know you can do without knacking yourself and make a promise to yourself you'll do it tomorrow.

Airlock sorted out, things tidied and all the washing put away. I really must water the pear tree and hack a few more pearlets off.

Kelpie is giving me the silent puddle protest about the kittens. Thank goodness we replaced the carpet outside the shower room with lino. The kittens are at the hilarious stage; the boy lies on his back with all four legs akimbo on the floor and the little girl is the most delicate creature I've ever met. They had about an hour outside yesterday and spent most of it trying to catch insects in the yard. We don't think they'd ever been 'out' before they came to us.
    Better is good enough.

See what happens when I'm home alone!?!?

A whole block of halloumi cheese grilled and eaten, together with a packet of chocolate chip cookies, half a bottle of red wine and enough almonds to grow my own orchard...

    I. Am. So. Greedy. And. Fat.

    Kitchen still looks good though...
