Morning all. I've only skim read, so welcome newbies and returners, well done on PPI claims and so glad that LW has a doggie visitor again (or did I read that on another thread?)

Today I shall be pottering in the garden. Hair dye can wait till tomorrow. Doglets are going to be taken out to the seaside by DD and her fiance today. A gathering of their friends and various dogs apparently.

I may put the protective paint on the garden bench today - I may not.

    Have a great day everyone.

Congratulations on the PPI claim, Supersaver. We finally heard yesterday that we were never sold PPI so while I'm very chuffed about that, no big cheque will be winging it's way to us, either. On the five minutes spent decluttering or tidying every day, it really does make a huge difference in the long term. Last year I set myself a target of decluttering one space a day, such as a drawer, or a shelf or cupboard, or just the hanging part of a wardrobe and cumulatively that has added up to a massive amount of stuff being decluttered without the serious pain of dragging everything out of a room and having to sort through it all in one hit.

Big wave to everyone, newbies, returnees and "old" faces xxx

Congratulations on the bargainacious curtains, and hurrumf on the 'old' which I'm feeling today. Two cups of full strength coffee at lunchtime yesterday (I'm normall decaff in the mornings only) and fretting about this afternoon's tabletop sale means I slept very poorly indeed. Why do I commit myself to these things when I seem to remember loathing the carboots I did a few years ago. Hey ho. I think during the night I did manage to come up with a few strategies that will make life easier so it wasn't wasted insomnia.
    Better is good enough.

    Hi all

Well done on the kitchen Dizzy. Bit groggy this morning. Should have learned from past experience not to allow my son to mix my drinks - I think I was almost drinking neat gin last night.

But paid stuff to do this morning once I have had a coffee and shower. My last week of job no. 2 this week before I start doing my bosses job for a month then we will see what happens.

Hope the sale goes ok today HB.

Bit of a change of plan here today. DD and her fiance are now coming here for lunch then walking the dogs at a country park somewhere, then coming back for tea and a hair dyeing session.

So I have walked the dogs this morning, done the dailies, prepped carbonara ingredients for lunch, whipped up some cream that needed using for Eton mess later, and sent DH a shopping list to get on his way home so we can have simple burgers for tea.

Just having a cuppa, then I'll clean up my mess in the kitchen then FINALLY potter in the garden.

Me again. 2 hours spent in the greenhouse, potting on. Lunch made and scoffed. Dogs and humans have now gone for their afternoon out so I'm going back out to the garden.

    Hi all

Have bought a car for DS1, done the grocery shopping, done a load of laundry and scrubbed my shamefully disgusting washing machine drawer. All fed, kitchen tidied, feet up now.

Could do with a cuppa, but cant be bothered to move.

    Morning all.

Up early as my alarm clock was the sound of a dog being sick. Not sure which one but told DH it was not the one licking his face to get him up.

Just having a cuppa then I will water the garden. Today will be dog walks and more gardening.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all,

Just popping in to say hi. Life has been absolutely horrid these past few weeks, we lost my lovely grandma and heaps of other carp has been loaded on us. I've still been flying but no motivation to post as I've been so so down, and suffering anxiety attacks.

Big love to you all xx

Big hello to Roundtuit - missed you!

Aw thank you Dizzy xx :)

DS is away for the weekend with GF so I've grabbed his dressing gown from the back of his bedroom door and tis merrily swishing away in WM :T (there being nothing else to wash - as I've already cleared his floordrobe after decimating Mount Washmore :T)

I bought two new baking trays on Friday so I'm going to fling the grottiest two I possess - one's rusting, the other seems to think Teflon flakes are the new seasoning :( (but I've had it since the 1980s so it's done well :D)

Get dressed and dailies first. Monaco Grand Prix later woot woot.
    Have a good day everyone.
