Cheap monitor £70 - 100
don't go i3 7xxx, they are dual core.
i3 8xxx are quad core0 -
            Excellent build offered.
Only monitor to add.
Though I'll select another case and maybe I can get one or two red led;s and internals view.
I3 8100xx was the cpu which I want, the cpu which is getting excellent reviews elsewhere.
ATX motherboard -does this allow any GPU additions at a later stage maybe Nvidia 1050/60/70xxx
Thanks!Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -

Thanks!
Yes, it's got the standard compliment (for Micro ATX MB's) of 1 PCI Express x16 slot for a graphics card and 2 x PCI Express x1 slots for extra USB port cards or whatever floats your boat.
An extra thick cooler on the graphics card may take up one of the x1 slots though.0 -
Thanks mser's excellent GPU compatibly board advice.
I've since forgot sound-Cisco\s inexpensive monitor advice seemed sensible though I'm trying to think ahead to when I could add a decent GPU -2019.
As my build will need sound and to avoid taking up additional floor space.
I'm thinking maybe this monitor will suffice though quite an additional expense.
ASUS PB287Q 28" 4K Gaming Monitor -£360 approx.
If not I would have purchased my 1st mentioned Asus 23" monoitore-$125 approx -then I would need speakers-
Think I'll start base unit parts purchase before deciding if I could manage 4k monitor.
Hope I can manage this build myself-without the use of a working p.c. (iPad Pro only)Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
Is this new Win10 to new ssd relevant
Insert the SSD onto Sata 1 port on your hard drive
Remove any other hard drives from your System - Important!
Go into your BIOS and change SATA Mode to AHCI - Important!
Then install Windows 10:
Does this mean I would install new HDD to motherboard +SSD to Sata 1 port on HDD
Slightly confused though it's been a few years, am I wrong in thinking I could have installed ssd only to motherboard -installed win10 to SSD then added HDD to motherboard.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. If you go for 4k monitor, you will be looking at high end GPU.
It is worth getting a decent 550W to 650W PSU instead.
Something £60 - 70 like Seasonic SII 620/ be quiet! pure power 10 600W/ Corsair TX550M
Due to the budget, i select a cheap budget motherboard.
You could consider to spend a bit more for a decent one if you can afford.0 -
If you're looking for a machine for future upgrading, I'd go for an AM4 based system. Intel are notorious for changing CPU sockets frequently, but AMD have committed to the AM4 socket for at least the next 4 CPU generations.

Thanks I'll neeed to find a few mins to review this Ryzen build.
I still have some time yet though intel i3 8100 is current choiceReplenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -

Thanks I think I'll purchase Asus HD monitor and keep suggested build-apart from case which I'm currently searching for built in red led strips if possible.
4K monitor was a consideration though I'm not planning on increasing budget considerably at this stageReplenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
            Decided 99% Cisco's i3 build-excluding case-to be chosen. 431 approx -
Settled Asus HD monitor 125
I've identified approx £520 of budget over next 3 to 4 weeks-could possibly start purchasing some parts next day or two.
Could an mser refer to my earlier Win10 install guide and advise if it's accurate.
Also with no dvd drive -win10 new installed on USB fine for a new build.
To reiterate I no longer have my win10 laptop at home when I build this i3 spec.
I assume this will suffice-Windows 10 Home 32 bit/64 bit English International | PC | USB Flash Drive
Can this be installled immediately onto ssd-possibly need to change bios to boot from usb.
And should I add a cooler at build stage or leave until I'm adding a decent GPU next year.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0
