Not sure about that I have never used Firefox but still get the double spacing.:(
OK. So it's experienced on Firefox and IE then, but not so far reported by anyone on Chrome.

I'm Green, Win 10 and Firefox and it's been happening for a while for me. I don't go back and edit though, I just leave the extra lines in, I don't think it makes it any less readable.
  • Thanks folks. Is there anyone other than the OP that's on the blue version and getting the error?
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

[STRIKE] I'm on the green version.[/STRIKE]
  • Thanks for the update Malthusian. Have you been switching between the two or only ever been on the green?

Sorry, I got my forum versions mixed up - I've always been on the blue.
  • OK, thanks for letting me know.

We've still not had any other reports about this other than on this thread. If you see anyone else mentioning it can you ask them to post here with a screenshot?

    Thank you!

We too have experienced these random insertions of paragraphs breaks.

Only noticed it about a month ago, but as we hadn't posted for ages at that date I can't say when it would have first occurred!

    We are using:
    COMPUTER: PC desktop
    PLATFORM: Windows (version 7)
    BROWSER: Internet Explorer (version 11)

We weren't aware of any varying types of forum, but as Malthusian said:

and yes, I have the blue forum (if that means the one with a blue header and post buttons)
we assume we have the 'blue' forum as we too have a blue header etc.

BTW, a similar thing has happened before, over the years, with a blank line or two being inserted in various MSE posts; but never to the current extent of several blank lines.

Yes, it's very annoying having to check ever posting for these extraneous blank spaces. :-/

    I have this problem.

I use Firefox and the blue forum.

    Test on go advanced form.
    Pressed enter once.

Pressed enter twice (intending to leave one blank line).

Edited and left one blank line above here. Two blank lines are showing between my previous lines. I have no buttons above the edit form (i.e. the buttons to make this bold etc are not visible).
