Hi,
I got my kids their DS's with my mobile phone free and I love them, couldn't be without them again! I went to http://www.gr8phonedeals.co.uk/show.asp?man=&mins=&network=&texts=&lr=&gift=nintendo+ds and this lists the phone contracts with DS's as free gifts available from a lot of networks.
Worked for me, hope it helps someone else out,
Also, once I had the DS's I brought some DSTT game cards from dealextreme.com and , ahem, They have over 200 games now and each card can hold 60 games, worth a look as it has saved me an absolute fortune with £30 games coming out every few weeks:cool:Started Comping Aug 2007Wins so far - Shrek ball, Shrek Keyring!

Is anyone using a CycloDS cartridge with their DS? Everyone I know seems to be using them.
You put a microSD card inside the CycloDS and then put it in the normal cartridge slot. Advantages are that you can have all your games on one cartridge (you can fit several hundred on an 8GB microSD). It saves a lot of hassle swapping cartridges and means you can play homebrew games (download from internet), music and videos (though you need to convert the files to the right format).
I think there's several alternatives available from UK retailers. I got my CycloDS from http://www.consoleup.com/shop/Console/Cyclo-DS/CycloDS-Evolution/ for £30 - they're the cheapest I've found so far (others were £5-10 more). That website also sells microSD cards but they're cheaper to buy elsewhere, eg. DVD.co.uk have an 8GB one for £17: http://www.dvd.co.uk/Hw/SanDisk-microSDHC-8GB-USB-Reader/SDSDQR-8192-E11M/product.htm
To copy files to microSD you just put the card into the USB adaptor supplied with the CycloDS and it shows up as a drive on your computer like a memory stick does.
There's no easy way to copy games from your own cartridges to the microSD, so you either have to get copies of your games from your friends who have a DS or download from somewhere like Mininova or PirateBay, eg. http://www.mininova.org/search/ds/3
Obviously you should only put stuff on that you've already purchased, otherwise you're breaking copyright.0 -

I am wanting to buy a Nintedo DS lite - a pink one. The going price at most places is around £100 - any one know of any special offers that are being advertised anywhere?0

I have just bought a Red one for my sons birthday it came with one game and cost £104.99 To be honest it should have been £124.99 so was a fantastic price. I doubt you will get one any cheaper that £95-£105 ish.
Asda and tescos sell them for around £99 this may be best but if you go to https://www.game.co.uk they are doing some good deals at the moment.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
