Not been to Aldi since searçhing for ski wear for ds, think I visited about 30 times, over 8 branches, buying/returning until he was fixed up.

I'm here... we have just finished the house for DS1 and DIL who return on Thursday (we was expecting them next week) well it was nearly finished as there was one pair of curtains to be shortened... just done them so OH will have to put them up tomorrow when takes a sideboard and garden table, and empties the garage of building material and sweeps it.

  • Good morning! Tired.com here, got back from wedding in Ireland about 12:30 this morning and was in office at 8

Behaved myself very well on the food side of things, so hopefully have not done too much damage. Had a fantastic day, even though the hotel could have been a tad more helpful. Can't believe that there was no reserved parking for the bridal cars, my cousin was driving the bride and their dad and actually had to walk down the aisle after them because he had to drop them off and then park off site & run back and then follow the music as there was no indication as to where the ceremony was actually taking place. We were at the back and didn't hear a thing as the PA was dire, but at least bride & groom were happy.

Proud auntie alert though, Mrs R will really appreciate this, my 6'4" 14 year old nephew is now in the Munster Rugby Academy, so proud of him. Have already told him that when he lines out with the boys in green, we all need tickets! Mind you, the down side is that he has to come down to my 5'2" to give me a hug:mad:

Back from the stag do. 5 days of pretty much constant drinking and eating terrible terrible awful food. Every meal felt like I was committing an atrocity on my body. Fully expecting a gain of 6lbs+; any less and I'm considering that a complete success. That said, I don't know, maybe I'll be lucky and have a gain of 3lbs, because we were doing lots of walking and bad dancing :D

One thing I will say is, drinking makes you feel ropey, we all know that..... what surprised me was just how bad I felt after eating nothing but junk food. I used to eat junk food pretty much every day, but I guess you get used to it. After eating healthily for so long, switching to a diet entirely made up of takeaway food and horrible 'all inclusive' rubbish made me feel absolutely dreadful inside. I felt bloated pretty much entirely in the second half of the week and my stomach felt on fire. I know alcohol does contribute to some of those, but I've not actually cut drinking out on my diet, so I know the difference between feeling a bit grotty and whatever this was. This felt like my body was not used to what I was eating, and was actively trying to reject it. Such a weird sensation.

Nothing against all inclusives by the way, but this wasn't a particularly good one. It was cheap (the main aim of most stag do's) and while there was a variety of food, it was mostly junk. There were a few healthy options but none of them really worth trying to be honest.

Not such a bad idea this healthy eating lark after all ;) Onwards and upwards slimmers :)
