    The truth about carbs.

Just had an email, only went to the local carol concert organised by our local radio and now the BBC bombard me with emails.

Not sure how they know I'm on a diet though! :rotfl:

I wonder how this is going to go. Pro carb or against carbs.

I watched a documentary called Fat Head (awful name I know) which was basically aimed at rebutting Morgan Spurlocks Super Size Me documentary, and the main premise was to reduce carbs and to increase fat/protein consumption and in doing so he lost weight. To me, that is like atkins though? although maybe i'm wrong.

I'm wary of any 'diet'. For me, it's because SW is balanced and healthy with all food groups including treats that it's sustainable. It's hard enough to keep carbs within SW guidelines when eating out as there are so many meals that come with bread, pastry and chips. To cut carbs any further would make me very antisocial.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: veggie omelette (mushrooms, peppers, courgette, spring onion, tomato) with beetroot
D: sausage, mash, carrots, kale, cabbage, fried onions
Syns: BGTY sausages 2, gravy 4, extra HEXs 6, brown sugar 3

That's exactly 15 syns which is high for me mid week.:o Will do better tomorrow.;)

    Afternoon,

    Hope everyone is well.

This thread seems to move on quite quickly!

Would anyone be interested in sponsoring me for the Birmingham Poppy Walk? It's this Sunday. Money goes to the Royal British Legion.

    Thanks in advance.

I have always had beetroot with sausage and mash, it's lovely.

Well done to all the losers, you've done really well. :T
