Am often away.... Mind you, so is he! So I might get it first.

But do you think dvla will send it to our address again after it has been returned once saying this person hasn't lived here for x years?

I have no idea, you'd hope not but it wouldn't surprise me!

Just scared myself reading that. I got married but didn't change my name so I don't need to tell them do I?

I can just keep my maiden name without having to do anything?

If you haven't changed your name, you obviously don't need to inform them of a change of name!
There is no obligation when getting married to changes your name,.
You can also change your name without getting married.

Sounds as if they are fiddling benefits, if the son lives away from home he can get a lot more than he can if living with his parents.
    Report them on line.

I emailed the dvla but couldn't see anywhere to report setting dodgy. I just had to use the general enquiry thing.

The op would be receiving letters from the benefits agency.

They've now written saying that their son cannot change his address with the dvla (I don't follow their longwinded explanation as to why) so they have asked the dvla to send it again to our house.
Would be interesting to know what their reasons are.

Just return the licence (note the spelling!) to them. I'm sure they can figure out for themselves what's fraudulent.

I married 30 years and never changed my name. DVLA / DBS / banks / passports and just about everyone else completely unbothered.

Think I had a late night moment of panic thinking!!!

I changed my name first time I got married (under duress - should have known from that that he wasn't right!) It was a right hassle changing it back!
