My world is a bit wibbly wobbly today, although I did get an NSD. I was nearly crying in yoga and I've felt just a bit wobbly and emotional. It's not been helped by dealing with stupid contractors who can't follow simple instructions on how to get paid on time!!!! I feel like slapping someone with a wet fish this week!
I've accepted I'm usually a bit of a mess at this time of year, unfortunately there is quite a lot of worry in my life at the moment towards others, but my life is okay. I have a relative who has been diagnosed with bowel cancer and we are just waiting to find out what stage it is at. Thursday is the anniversary of my mothers death so I think on that day I am going to try and restrain myself from punching someone's nose by punching a punchbag and then going to the pub.
The woman in HSBC who was trying to sell me a credit card nearly copped it too, just told her instead "I'm leaving you in about two months when you hike my interest rate up to 40% on my overdraft, so there's little point in getting your credit card". She then told me that all the banks were doing it. "Yes", I said "it's amazing how a supposed market works isn't it?" I then pointed out to her that Nationwide had the good grace to give customers a year to adjust so I would be taking my 30 year account over to them. What a bunch of Charlatans.
There are huge positives in my life at the moment so I must remember to focus on those too. Just that this week is always tough.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

By some miracle managing an NSD today. Going to do a bit of cleaning and ironing and have a quiet one. Yoga tomorrow and going to see Jo Brand on Wednesday so a bit busier.
Overdraft is currently £700 O/D whereas usually this time of month it is buffering up against £1200 O/D so that is progress. MOT tomorrow though!Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

Well, it's a while since I've been on here. Had to dig back to find myself and stuggle a bit to use this system.
How strange the world seems compared to two months ago. Not a miracle to have an NSD these days, more a positive normality. Trying to get ahead of myself on debts so that if anything happens I am in a good position. We have full pay until the end of June and probably enough work to carry us through. Key decision makers higher up the chain are getting twitchy though, so we are just having to make each decision a very watertight case.
Pub is closed at the moment.but is operating a delivery service so I just make sure I spend a similar amount to what I would have spent (well, to be fair, I am spending less and saving the bus fare!!!) and we seem to be collectively doing a good job of keeping them afloat. Have done bingo with them today on facebook live and I've won a bottle of beer - what's not to like! Tomorrow have an online yoga class and then an online pub quiz with a group of folk including both brothers and two of my nieces. It's truly a global effort. Sunday, I need to prepare an expression of interest for additional training at work. They've asked when I've shown initiative at work and the truth is I don't really, I think I'm highly practical not highly innovative! Surely the world also needs practical people.

Paying off of mortgage has slowed dramatically but clearing of overdraft looks like it will happen this month and then some. Do have to decide when I risk booking my flight from Reno to Pheonix in December and Pheonix to the UK in January. If I book now I don't think I am covered for the Coronavirus. If I book later maybe I don't get a seat!

Butti, long time lurker here. If you book now you are definitely not covered for covid 19, I've read the email from my insurer and translate it as I am not covered for anything that I book whilst the pandemic is on. Normally I'd suggest ringing your insurer and checking but I would expect them to be inundated with calls.1

I won't be booking the transatlantic flight until we are able to. However the internal flight from Pheonix to New York is just over $100. I have a friend who works for American Airlines (that is who the internal flight would be with) so I think I'll wait till she gives me the green light. If the insane American Government decide they are opening things up again before anyone else I may be okay to book and it may be worth the risk. It will be interesting once they do open it up again - potentially insane demand and less carriers! Better continue paying the credit card down.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.
