Morning Chums, just a quick one this morning.I'm off to Leeds Castle with my youngest DD and her tribe of five little angles, although looking outside the window at the moment it looks a bit dark and gloomy.Still the boys want to collect some conkers, and we have tickets that last for a year no matter how many times you use them. A lot of Kent attraction do this and with her tribe it comes in jolly useful for days out.We take a couple of flasks and some rols and goodies ect so it is quite an inexpensive day out with the children.I shall layer myself up though so I shall keep nice and warm.
My youngest DD started her job at Chatham Dockyard last night in costume doing a 'ghost walk' tour.
She really looks the part in her Victorian gear and wig.Well must go,hope everyone has a lovely day even if it does look a bit dark at the moment
<<hugs to all in need>> and a big smile to the rest of you.
P.S. Cheers for all the good thoughts that you have sent me

TM - Hope your not too hurt after the fall!
Not much to report, WM & TD on. Still trying to get rid of my piles! Washing I mean!
DS badly scraped his elbow & knee y-day, after being hit by a van. He looked both ways to cross the road, then a van came speeding from around the corner, clipped DS on his hip and knocked him to the ground. Van driver didn't stop, just shouted some abusive language at DS then drove off! We got a description of the van, so if I see it, I'll give the driver what for! Luckily DS is fine!
Not a clue whats for dinner! We had chicken curry for dinner last night. I have 2 chicken breast in the fridge which need using up. Any suggestions! Remember I dont have an oven. I can use the rill & hob. Its got to be something easy!
Anyway, best get ready for work.
Catch you later
Love Emma xxx

Many thanks to everybody for all your congratulations! I know what you mean about 'back in our day.......' I had my eldest 35 years ago and it was BED for 2 days and then gentle pottering around the ward for 3 days - babies on the ward for about an hour in morning and another hour in the afternoon then back in nursery for the night. When I left with DS1 they laughed and told me he was a bit of a non-sleeper - soft me thought they this was a joke that they did with all the first-time mums! What they didn't consider was that I had been on a combination of 4 valium and 6 phenobarbitone daily for around four months to control my BP -and of course my little bundle of joy was suffering from withdrawal symptoms! (they didn't realise back then what damage those meds can do to an un-born baby!) - and I actually had an x-ray done at 36 weeks (to check baby's growth) - looked like my body had been taken over by an alien in there with this complete tiny skeleton inside my own!
I've got a lovely scouse in the SC - and will throw some dumplings into it at the end. Mr Ollie will appreciate that later - he felt very neglected yesterday as I was otherwise occupied for most of the day. (Men eh!)
Thanks for the recipe AussieLass - I'll file that one and have a go at some point - let you know how I get on with it!
Hello to anybody else who has arrived this morning and hope you all have a good OS day!.0 -

Haribo & TM - hugs hope the backs improve asap
Crazychik (((huge))) for your DS
Snowy - nice to see you posting
Unusually for me I had a bad nights sleep last night - was alright once I got to sleep but took me ages to get there, so have had a lie in which I wasnt plannng today.
Not too much of a problem though, yesterday cleared ironing basket (yipee) and did half of my horrible filing job, some more to do later but the worst is done.
Today the kids and I are having a day out, - buffet chinese and the pictures to see ratatouille (sp). On the way home will pop into the school uniform shop for new swimming costume for DD. Probably will be ham and cheese toasties for tea tonight as we hopefully would have filled ourselves up with lunch. (Will pop to a local shop for drinks and sweets for the pictures - I wont pay the cinema prices).
So quite a nice day planned. OH is staying at home incase the builder turns up - he is meant to but we will see.
Have a great day.

DS1 had a great day yesterday at the NEC and did his interview with Paul Rankin and also had a coffee with him afterwards, said he was a nice chap!
Manage to sell my old dining table last night for £20, was about to freecycle it but the £20 will come in handy I'm sure!

Morning Everyone!
Have done a wash load but not sure whether to hang it out as its abit yukky here! - its still very dark at this time of the morning!
Not sure whether to go to the gym in a minute or go to Costco's to get a couple of toys which were cheaper than argos - and of course have a free coffee and cake when they open;)
Talking of cakes.....AMIE!!!!! Yesterday in Lidls I bought a bag of the small stollens!!!!! OH MY GOD They are way too YUMMY!!!!! This is not good for the waistline Im trying to get rid of!!!!:rotfl::o also got the Big Stollen, spice biscuits and bag of ginger iced biscuits put away from xmas.
Congratulations to Olliebeak & family:T I was in for 5 days with my first too, it was great back then cos you got decent food brought round, tea, they topped up your nappies, cotton wool, etc, showed you how to bath etc

aussielass - i might have to give that lettuce soup a go - it always sounds strange to me!
enough waffle, have a good day allxx0 -
Good morning everyone, rather late for me - I'm just up
Like Csarina, Haribo Junkie, Amie399 and and Snowy Owl I was awake from about 3.30 till 5.30, lay in bed reading, wish I'd thought to join you on the MSE.
Yesterday I itemised everything in the freezer and have main meal menus till the end of November, including several special meals in case of visitors. Really good news as my shopping costs for next month will be really low and I can use the extra for xmas things.
Coming home from night school last night was really scary, I have never driven in fog that thick before, a real pea souper! I was so relieved when I eventually arrived home.
Today I am going to have a stay at home day, my to do list is:
Tidy garden, back and front - 1 hour night school homework - couple of hours sewing, several repairs and a new waistcoat I bought in a sale that is too big under the arms and most importantly try to finish the cardigan I have been knitting. All I have to do is buttonhole band and sew on bands and this has been waiting for about 3 weeks !
Congratulations Olliebeak on the new arrival, lovely news.
Hope everyone has a good dayDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)
