Oh poor you, I've known a couple of people that that's happened to (both recovered) and it must feel so strange. Well done on the tarot, life's definitely too short to worry about what other people think - something I think we've all learned this year ❤
Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days

Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!3 -

And thank you, luckily Mr julicorn is super supportive and sort of interested as well, so it's nice to have him to share some of that with3 -
Juli, you poor thing with the Bell's palsy
Good to hear it gets well after only a few weeks, but thats quite long enough
Tarot! It's so interesting - comes with a whole side helping of history to it, and modern versions. You're certainly in the right city to learn it! I can't believe anyone has problems with it, thats very odd. Enjoy it! A friend of mine was going to publish her own tarot cards, linking in with Egyptian symbols (she'd made a lifelong study of Egyptian esoterica, but only discovered tarot in her 50s). It wasn't to be, for other reasons, but tarot and its readings are a great system.2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
Thanks so much Karmacat!
My own tarot deck would be really fun at some point, I have a range of tarot cross stitch patterns already that I'd like to turn into a deck at some point too (although much more work to be done on that too!).
Today I'm spending some time trying to re-learn how to use my sewing machine because I got a quilting pattern a few weeks ago. It's a bit frustrating at the moment, but once I get it set up properly I think it will be good fun. Mr julicorn also ordered me some cocktail supplies and a fun witchcraft cocktail recipe book to cheer me up which looks absolutely fantastic, and we had a really nice cocktail last night with gin, ginger beer, ginger / cloves / saffron syrup, blackberries and rosemary. I could get used to this, haha!3 -
Sounds great! I have one of my mother's sewing machines now, an Elna, but I can't bear to think about learning how to thread it - I haven't sewn with a machine since I was 12 years old,and I hated it
Enjoy the patchwork

Yesterday was good though, ok the first hour or so was an utter nightmare because I just couldn't get it set up properly, but after a bit of patience and consulting the manual for once, it went rather smoothly. I'll share my little quilt once it's finished, it's wonky because I don't have an iron or the patience to press properly, but I'm really enjoying it so far, haha!2 -

Thank you so much @Sistergold
I started work again yesterday, it was surprisingly draining to be perfectly honest. I'll be doing shorter days this week, and have Friday booked off too, so that is nice. It was good to see people other than Mr julicorn though, and my face seems to look surprisingly normal on Zoom calls, which makes things a lot easier.2 -
Good news on the quilt and on looking okay for the Zoom calls - I know what you mean about that. I mean, yours is about an illness, but mine is just about looking like a ghost
bit of eyeliner works wonders
