Quick update: I weirdly got paid a day early (slightly less than what I thought I would, but I realised that's probably my increased pension contribution finally kicking in!), so made another overpayment of £600 (total this month so far: £650). When Mr julicorn gets paid tomorrow, we should be able to hit our £1,200/month goal, and fund our goals for next month as well.

I've also started looking into S&S ISAs, but I need to do a lot of research before dipping my toes in it...

As for the S&S ISA, we'll keep it simple and put money into a fund rather than trying to manage it in any more complex way, at least for now. I'm thinking Vanguard Life Strategy 60 or maaayyybe 80.

I've got a Vanguard fund ISA - it's a retirement option one though (I think it's 2030, from memory) Only had it 3 months so far I took ages to choose between the Life Strategy or the Retirement one

I'm half eyeing up the retirement plan as well, but don't have particularly concrete plans for a retirement date just yet, which is making me lean towards a Life Strategy fund instead. What made you pick the retirement fund in the end, if you don't mind me asking?

Just managed to make the other overpayment, so we've managed to hit our goal of £1,200 for September.
Here are all the goals and where we're at (note that Budapest has for now been swapped out for a trip to Center Parcs - we'll start funding our trip to Budapest in December instead, which still gives us enough time to hit our goal).

Center Parcs: £800/£1,000
Maintenance fees: £500/£500
Home improvements: £500/£1,000
OP September: £1,200/£1,200
