We are looking to apply for a loan to part fund a car, Hitatchi personal finance are coming out best rates wise. I have 2 questions
1) Can anyone comment on what Hitatchi are like are a company?
2) We’ve just remortgaged in the last month so there a credit search for that on my husbands credit file, will that have a negative effect on a loan application? i.e. too many applications? He has excellent credit, under £2k on a credit card, all accounts paid on time, no ccjs.
Many thanks

If his credit history is good then a single credit search will almost certainly make no difference to the application.0 -
In what way?

As in, they don’t have some sort of bizarre approval ritual for instance. There are some finance companies that people swear off of for whatever reason.0 -

They are normal lender just like the high street banks.
The finance might be provided by someone else and they use the Hitachi name.0 -
Have you tried the eligibilty checker to give you an idea of whether you'll be accepted. (it's not guaranteed) Rather than looking at the best rate, you may be better to look at the best likelihood of being accepted.
