I have signed up to your diary.......I was mooching around looking for some new inspiration and came across yours....the title grabbed me! I too have a large debt...about half my salary I should think but if I added OH in there too it would be eye watering......OH is sorting out their own debt BTW! However I want to take early retirement - the earlier the better but to make it work I really need to hammer down the debt - seem to have been doing it for years now! Doing it myself as for the time being everything is on 0%, we are mortgage free now and a DMP would not go down well at work. I will look forward to reading your diary....I have a love/hate relationship with Eb*y too!

I’m good, thank you. Have started my own diary, and am feeling like September is ‘month one’ for me :)

Totally get you on September being 'month one' for me. I'm the same.

Welcome...to the crazy world of Lexie Lou.

Defo if you are mortgage free and have 0%, kick the butt off your debt. I had one card on 0%, and a really good bank account with HSBC, but it all meant nothing as I was in so much debt.

Can't wait to share this crazy ride with everyone

Hi, just stopping by to wish you well! Spent my lunchtime reading your diary and it looks like you've got some great motivation to get these cleared.

Also, although it's annoying the £150 went to your car instead of your EF, better to have that money sitting there than have to put it on a card.

    Hi

I agree with you on the £150...have to say I did feel a bit of relief that I actually had it to hand over, instead of getting out the plastic.

    Thanks for popping by

  • Haven't written in days...don't know why either, but felt tonight I needed to write, to a) keep me motivated, and b) check in with everyone.

I'm away with work at the weekend for 5 days - work trip, so any money I save travelling to and from work will be used to pay for the dog in Kennels...plus she needs to go to the Vet before hand to update her vaccines, so have to dip into the EF to pay for the Vet.

Starting to get quite a few demanding letters from my creditors, need to call SC about them, as I am worried I might be actually missing something - I know I am getting stressed as my skin is breaking out in a rash again (eczema)

Oh hilarious...so read somewhere on MSE to use baby oil instead of shaving foam/gel when shaving your legs. Don't....ever....I have actual razor burns on my legs because of it...

I've 2 items listed on ETSY, and 3 relists on EBAY, plus one more to list tomorrow.

I have a target of £300 extra for this month (Sept challenge) and I need to get my actual rear end into gear to hit it. I don't think I will, but I need the willpower to at least make an attempt, which was also a reason for me to come on here. I needed motivation from you all

OK, thats all from me...sorry for the ramble

It's good to set yourself a high target. If you aim for £300, you might achieve £200. If you aim for £200, you might only achieve £100....

Aim for the floor and you'll stay on the floor. Aim for the ceiling and you might just reach the top of the skirting board :)
