LLoyds Bank account fees

Well after getting a letter to say my Silver Account monthly fee was to rise to nearly £12 I`m looking at changing back to a Classic account. My wife has a Platinum account her fee has risen too. I also notice the excess for claiming for a lost/damages mobile has risen as well. I dont really know whether the extras (as they like to call them) are truly worth it?. I know I can change Banks but have been generally happy believe it or not with Lloyds is there a better one out there anyone know of?

Why not assess the value of each insurance to you?
Then, if it has value, price up independent cover including the headline coverage and excesses at a comparison site.
Add the insurances together.
Then decide.0 -
look at nationwide packaged account.0

Check out the options at https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/best-packaged-bank-accounts and see if any of them deliver enough benefit to outweigh the cost....is there a better one out there anyone know of?0 -
I see Gold will be nearly £15.
Blimy packaged accounts are expensive.0 -
My wife has a Platinum account her fee has risen too.
ARe you and your wife financially linked with another product (eg a mortgage) - if so, it may be worth making her Platinum a joint account and splitting the cost of the fee, you then ditching the Silver for a Classic.
She can always get a different free sole account.

If you pay in £1,500 per month, they waive the £3 fee on the Club Lloyds account. You can choose a lifestyle benefit - cinema tickets, gourmet society membership or magazine subscription.
My mum has one that she uses to get free cinema tickets, interest and the preferential rate on the regular saver.
I've opened one but just for the lifestyle benefit. I do intend applying later for a regular saver to put new money into that so that I can save my pennies for my next LISA installment. :money:0
